The FAG 32022-X tapered roller bearing accommodates combined radial and axial loads in mechanical engineering applications, with dimensions of 110 × 170 × 38 mm.
With the 32022 -X tapered roller bearing, FAG offers a single-row roller bearing for demanding industrial applications. The component has an inner diameter of 110 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 38 mm. The tapered rollers enable the simultaneous transmission of radial forces and single-sided axial loads. The complete tapered roller bearing is available in a standard configuration and is designed for precisely guided shaft mountings in general mechanical engineering.
This rolling bearing is primarily used in gearboxes, industrial drives and mounted shafts where combined load directions occur. Wherever pure radial bearings cannot withstand the axial forces, this design with inclined raceways supports the forces involved. As single-row tapered roller bearings, by design, can only accommodate axial loads in one direction, users generally fit this model in a mirror-image pair with a mating bearing. This paired arrangement accommodates alternating axial thrusts and enables precise adjustment of the bearing clearance.
The integrated sheet steel cage maintains the conical rollers at a uniform distance and guides the rolling elements as they rotate within the bearing. The specified temperature range extends from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius, covering a wide range of applications in industrial environments. Thanks to the standard tolerance manufactured to P0/PN or ABEC 1, the bearing fits into standardised housing and shaft seats. As the outer ring and inner ring can be separated from the roller set, both bearing components can be fitted independently of one another.
The bearing has a bore of 110 mm, an outside diameter of 170 mm and a total width of 38 mm. These dimensions define the installation space in accordance with the metric standard and allow for fitting onto suitable shafts and into corresponding housings.
Design engineers use this tapered roller bearing primarily for bearing arrangements in which radial forces act in conjunction with axial forces acting in one direction. Typical applications include industrial gearboxes, guide rollers and gearbox shafts subject to combined load requirements.
The specified operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This range allows for use in unheated factory halls as well as in industrial gearboxes where heat is generated during operation.
The sheet steel cage keeps the rolling elements at a uniform distance apart and prevents them from coming into contact with one another. The sheet steel design reduces rotating mass, withstands vibrations and allows the lubricant to circulate freely inside the bearing.
This designation refers to the standard tolerance class used in industrial mechanical engineering. It defines mandatory limit dimensions for concentricity, dimensional accuracy and geometric accuracy, ensuring that the component can be incorporated into standardised designs without the need for special fits.
Due to their design, single-row tapered roller bearings are not self-retaining. The inner ring, together with the roller cage, can be fitted separately from the flangeless outer ring, which allows them to be mounted onto the shaft and inserted into the housing separately.
