The FAG 32007-X single-row tapered roller bearing, with a 35 mm bore and a sheet steel cage, provides a robust bearing arrangement for combined radial and axial forces.
The FAG 32007 -X single-row tapered roller bearing accommodates high radial forces and single-sided axial forces simultaneously. Thanks to its tapered rollers and inclined raceways, this roller bearing transfers combined loads precisely to the shaft and housing. The open design with a sheet steel cage is rated for operation in a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The complete tapered roller bearing has a bore diameter of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width of 18 mm in the standard version.
This tapered roller bearing is used in designs where rotating shafts must carry not only transverse forces but also unidirectional axial forces. As the bearing is not self-retaining, the outer ring and inner ring, together with the roller cage, can be fitted separately. To accommodate axial forces in both directions, this bearing is usually fitted in pairs, with one bearing positioned in a mirror image to the other.
The sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements and reliably maintains the specified spacing between the tapered rollers. It is suitable for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees and is compatible with standard lubricating oils and greases. Manufacture to tolerance class P0 (corresponding to ABEC 1 or standard tolerance) meets the usual dimensional and geometric accuracies required for standard industrial applications. The internal operating clearance is only adjusted during installation by precisely aligning the bearing against the mating bearing.
With an internal diameter of 35 mm, an external diameter of 62 mm and a total width of 18 mm, the bearing has standardised key dimensions. These dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into housings and onto shafts with corresponding interference fits in industrial mechanical engineering.
Single-row tapered roller bearings are designed to accommodate high radial forces and, at the same time, axial forces acting in one direction. Load transfer takes place via the line contact between the inner and outer rings created by the angled tapered rollers. For axial loads acting in both directions, two tapered roller bearings are mounted in a mirror-image configuration and aligned.
P0 denotes the standard tolerance (PN) in accordance with international standards and corresponds to tolerance class ABEC 1. It defines the permissible dimensional, geometric and running deviations of the bearing. This accuracy class reliably meets the requirements of most industrial applications in mechanical engineering.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees. Within these limits, the dimensional stability of the bearing rings and the functionality of the sheet steel cage are maintained. Ensure that you select a lubricant that also covers this temperature range.
Tapered roller bearings are not designed to be self-retaining. The inner ring, together with the set of rollers and the sheet steel cage, forms a single structural unit, whilst the outer ring can be removed separately. This ability to dismantle the bearing considerably facilitates sequential installation as well as subsequent maintenance work within the bearing housing.
With this type of bearing, the internal bearing clearance is not pre-set at the factory. You set the required axial bearing clearance or preload during installation by positioning and adjusting the bearing axially against a mating bearing arranged in a mirror-image configuration on the shaft or in the housing.
