FAG NU2326 -E-M1 single-row cylindrical roller bearing with brass cage, 130 mm bore, 280 mm outer diameter and 93 mm width, designed for demanding radial loads.
The FAG NU2326 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed to withstand heavy radial forces. With a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm, this open bearing performs load-bearing functions in mechanical engineering. The solid brass cage guides the cylindrical rollers precisely and offers high dimensional stability even under demanding operating conditions. Designed as a non-locating bearing, the inner ring – which can be removed from both sides – also enables simple and flexible installation.
This cylindrical roller bearing is particularly well-suited to heavy-duty industrial applications where purely radial loads predominate. As the outer ring has solid flanges and the inner ring is flangeless, the component compensates for axial length changes in the shaft directly within the bearing without any binding. Design engineers make targeted use of this free-end bearing function in situations where thermal expansion may occur between the shaft and the housing. The open design requires a suitable housing seal and an external lubricant supply using oil or grease.
The solid brass cage (designation M1) gives the bearing considerable resistance to vibrations and acceleration forces. Combined with a temperature range of –30 to +150 degrees, the component is suitable for operating environments subject to thermal stress. Thanks to the standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, the bearing can be reliably integrated into standardised fit systems. Both rings can be fitted separately during assembly, which makes handling the 130 mm shaft easier.
The roller bearing has an inside diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 280 mm and a width of 93 mm. Thanks to its standardised tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the bearing is suitable for installation in corresponding shaft seats in mechanical engineering applications.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be removed from both sides and moved axially relative to the roller set. This design functions classically as a non-locating bearing and compensates for heat-induced length changes in a rotating shaft without causing internal stress.
The brass cage, designated M1, guides the cylindrical rollers evenly and maintains a defined distance between them. Brass is characterised by high mechanical strength and good run-on properties. This type of cage is the preferred choice for applications involving severe vibrations, fluctuating speeds and demanding operating conditions.
As this bearing is designed without integrated seals, sealing is provided by the surrounding housing structure. Grease or lubricating oil must be supplied via the housing, as the outer ring does not have its own lubrication groove or bore. The open design allows for a flexible choice of lubricant to suit the specific application.
The component is specified for an operating temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. It is important to ensure that the lubricant used and the housing’s sealing elements are also approved for the operating temperatures encountered, in order to support the component’s operation.
This cylindrical roller bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance. It provides a balanced radial clearance for typical fit selections and moderate temperature gradients between the inner and outer rings. Where there are different requirements regarding fit allowances or heating, users should select the appropriate alternative clearance groups.
