The FAG NU2311 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 55 mm bore, offers high radial load-carrying capacity and axial length compensation when used as a non-locating bearing.
The NU2311 -E-XL-TVP2-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With an inner diameter of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 43 mm, the design can withstand very high radial forces. Designed as an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems and is designed for continuous operation in mechanical engineering.
This cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used in bearing arrangements where high radial loads are present and axial displacement of the shaft must be compensated for. Typical applications include shaft mountings subject to operational thermal expansion. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the bearing can also withstand heavy impact loads. As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, the unit functions purely as a non-locating bearing and prevents unwanted forced forces within the bearing assembly.
This design features a slightly increased radial clearance (C3). This increased clearance between the rollers and raceways prevents jamming when temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings or when tight fits reduce the radial clearance. The integrated polyamide cage ensures quiet roller guidance and reduces weight compared with metal designs. Together with manufacture to standard tolerance P0, the component covers a permissible operating temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 43 mm. It is a single-row roller bearing without an integrated seal, specifically designed for high radial loads.
The NU design denotes a non-locating bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring. This allows the inner ring to be removed from either side, enabling the inner and outer rings to be fitted separately and compensating for axial shaft displacement during operation with low friction.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This is intended to compensate for thermal expansion caused by heating during operation, or for radial compression resulting from tight bearing seats on the shaft and housing, without the rollers becoming misaligned.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with precision and is characterised by its low weight and good damping properties. As a result, the roller bearing runs particularly quietly. The material is designed for the specified temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As this component is designed as an open bearing and the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the housing design. Depending on the speed and ambient conditions, you can use grease or lubricating oil, which is retained in the bearing chamber by external seals.
The component is manufactured to tolerance class P0, which corresponds to standard class PN or ABEC 1. This standard level of precision provides a defined fit for applications in general mechanical and plant engineering.
