The SKF NJ207 ECP cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load capacity with dimensions of 35x72x17 mm and, as a support bearing, provides single-sided axial guidance.
The SKF NJ207 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with a 35 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 17 mm width. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and the raceway, this design can withstand high radial loads. As an open bearing without an integrated seal, it operates within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The optimised internal design of the Explorer version ensures smooth running in demanding industrial applications.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for applications where high radial forces occur and, at the same time, defined axial guidance is required. Typical applications include shaft mountings in mechanical engineering where axial forces act from one side. As a support bearing, the component absorbs axial forces from one direction. In the opposite direction, the bearing allows axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing.
The ECP design features a lightweight polyamide cage, which guides the rollers quietly and reduces friction within the rolling element set. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately. The outer ring has neither a groove nor a lubrication bore. With normal radial clearance, the bearing offers tolerance class P0 for dimensional accuracy and P6 for increased running accuracy.
The bearing has a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised nominal dimensions for single-row cylindrical roller bearings in this series. On this basis, the component can be fitted precisely into existing housing and shaft seats.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to transmit axial loads in one direction whilst maintaining axial displacement in the opposite direction. The inner ring can also be separated from the roller set on one side to simplify assembly.
The polyamide cage keeps the cylindrical rollers at a uniform distance apart and ensures low-friction operation. Thanks to the elastic properties of the material, the cage absorbs shocks and reduces running noise. It is designed for the bearing’s standard operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
This cylindrical roller bearing combines dimensional accuracy to Class P0 (standard accuracy or ABEC 1) with improved running accuracy to Class P6 (ABEC 3). This ensures that the mounting dimensions are precisely maintained, whilst the concentricity during operation complies with a tighter tolerance class.
The open design, which does not feature any abiding sealing elements, minimises rotational resistance and facilitates the free flow of lubricating oil or grease. It is typically used in enclosed assemblies where external housing seals protect the bearing from contamination and lubricant loss.
The standard radial bearing clearance is designed to suit typical fit specifications for the shaft and housing. It is suitable for applications without exceptionally high operating temperatures or significant temperature gradients between the inner and outer rings. During operation, this ensures that the specified operating clearance for the rolling elements is maintained.
