The FAG NJ2312 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 60x130x46 mm and featuring a solid brass cage, can withstand high radial forces as well as unilateral axial loads.
The NJ2312 -E-XL-M1-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing from FAG in an industrial design. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm, this open bearing withstands heavy radial forces. Thanks to its NJ design, it serves as a support bearing: the inner ring has a fixed flange and can be removed from one side. This facilitates assembly and allows axial displacement in one direction.
Designs involving high continuous radial loads and single-sided axial guidance of the shaft relative to the housing constitute the primary area of application for the NJ design. The solid brass cage (M1) guides the roller elements precisely, even under severe vibrations. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding housing structure.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance. This additional radial clearance compensates for thermal expansion when temperature differences arise between the shaft and the housing. The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. Together with tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), this design ensures smooth running. As an open design, the bearing requires external sealing of the bearing housing to retain the lubricant within the system and prevent the ingress of contaminants.
A single-row radial roller bearing manufactured by FAG with the main dimensions 60 × 130 × 46 mm. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This makes the design suitable as a support bearing capable of transmitting high radial forces and accommodating axial forces from one direction.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a width of 46 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into corresponding housing bores and onto suitable shaft journals in industrial mechanical engineering.
Bearing clearance class C3 has greater radial clearance than the standard version. This prevents stress build-up during operation when the inner ring expands more than the outer ring due to the shaft heating up, or when tight press fits reduce the radial clearance after installation.
The brass cage, identified by the suffix M1, is made from a solid material. It is characterised by high strength and reliably guides the roller elements under conditions of severe vibration, varying speeds and elevated operating temperatures of up to +150 degrees.
This roller bearing does not have integrated sealing washers. The open design allows lubricating oil or grease to flow freely within a sealed machine housing. Protection against dirt and moisture must be provided by external housing seals.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees. The brass cage and the dimensional stability of the rings are designed for this range. When selecting the grease or oil, you must ensure that the lubricant is approved for the relevant operating temperature.
