FAG single-row cylindrical roller bearing NUP2207 -E-M1 with a brass cage and main dimensions of 35 × 72 × 23 mm, designed to accommodate high radial loads and provide axial guidance on both sides when used as a fixed bearing.
The FAG NUP2207 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row roller bearing with a cylindrical bore. The NUP design is characterised by two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This rolling bearing accommodates high radial forces and provides axial guidance to the shaft in both directions. With dimensions of 35 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 23 mm width, the unit is suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Design engineers primarily use this design as a fixed bearing to hold shafts in an axial position. Due to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, the bearing can withstand high radial loads. Typical applications include general-purpose machine drives, where, in addition to high transverse forces, axial guiding forces occur in both directions.
The integrated brass cage ensures the rollers run smoothly and retain their shape during operation. Brass is a material that offers good resistance to vibrations and thermal stresses. Combined with the permissible temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees, the bearing is designed for demanding operating conditions. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, the type of lubricant and external sealing are adapted to the design.
The abbreviation NUP denotes a fixed bearing. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This arrangement supports the cylindrical rollers on both sides, enabling the bearing to accommodate axial loads in both directions.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 23 mm. Thanks to these standardised key dimensions, the cylindrical roller bearing can be precisely integrated into suitable bearing seats and housing designs.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. In practice, the thermal operating limit is essentially determined by the thermal stability of the bearing rings, the brass cage and the lubricant selected.
The brass cage keeps the cylindrical rolling elements at a distance and controls their rolling behaviour. Brass materials offer impressive mechanical strength and good emergency running properties, making them ideal for vibrating or thermally demanding operating conditions.
This cylindrical roller bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. Under normal installation conditions, the radial clearance serves to provide the necessary free play between the rolling elements and raceways under normal operating and fit conditions.
As this product is supplied as an open bearing without its own sealing washers, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding machine housing. Depending on the design, operators use suitable lubricating oils or rolling-element bearing greases in conjunction with external shaft seals.
