The FAG NU319 -E-XL-M1A-C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 95 x 200 x 45 mm, offers high radial load-carrying capacity as a non-locating bearing with a robust brass cage.
The FAG NU319 -E-XL-M1A-C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the line contact of the cylindrical rollers, this rolling bearing can withstand very high radial loads. The inner ring has no flanges and can be removed from either side, enabling the bearing to function purely as a floating bearing and to compensate for changes in shaft length during operation without constraint. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
This non-locating bearing is used in shaft mountings where high radial loads occur and thermally induced changes in shaft length need to be compensated for. As this design cannot accommodate axial forces, it is typically fitted in combination with a separate locating bearing on the opposite side. The open bearing design allows for flexible lubricant supply via the housing.
The externally mounted solid brass cage promotes high mechanical stability under vibrations, shock loads or accelerations. The increased radial clearance (C3) provides additional radial play in the event that operational heating or tight fits lead to a reduction in bearing clearance. The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees. As the outer ring has neither a lubrication groove nor lubrication holes, lubrication is provided by design via the housing chamber.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width of 45 mm. These dimensions form the primary basis for determining the fit on the shaft and in the housing.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges and can be removed from both sides. As a result, the component absorbs radial forces only. Axial displacement between the shaft and the housing is compensated for directly within the bearing, without any constraining axial forces acting on the rolling elements.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance between the cylindrical rollers and the raceway reduces the risk of stress concentrations should tight shaft or housing fits cause the inner ring to expand, or should temperature differences during operation lead to uneven thermal expansion.
The designation M1A refers to a solid brass cage that is guided on the outer ring. Brass is a material that offers high strength and is resistant to impact loads and vibrations. The external guidance stabilises the cage even under demanding operating conditions.
As this product is supplied without integrated sealing washers, protection against dirt and moisture must be provided by the surrounding housing structure. The outer ring does not have its own lubrication bore. Suitable lubricating oil or roller bearing grease is therefore supplied directly via the housing cavity within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees.
