The AH3024 pull-off sleeve is used for the installation and removal of roller bearings with tapered bores on metric shafts with a diameter of 110 mm.
The AH3024 pull-off sleeve is used to secure bearings with a tapered bore onto cylindrical sections of the shaft. The component has a bore of 110 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 60 mm. The standard slotted design, with an external taper of 1:12, allows the rolling bearing to be pressed onto the shaft and removed from the shaft seat during maintenance work.
This fastening element is primarily used where self-aligning roller bearings or self-aligning ball bearings are mounted on cylindrical shafts and need to be removed for servicing. The roller bearing is supported axially by a shaft shoulder whilst the tapered sleeve is driven into the bearing bore. This design facilitates subsequent removal, as a suitable slotted nut pulls the sleeve out of the bearing seat in a controlled manner.
For design and maintenance purposes, the version for metric shafts with a nominal diameter of 110 mm is the standard. The standard version does not include either a slotted nut or a retaining plate. Please order the appropriate fastening materials for axial insertion and removal separately. During press-fitting, the radial bearing clearance of the rolling bearing is reduced; this should be monitored by repeated measurement during installation.
This component secures roller bearings with a tapered internal bore onto a metric, cylindrical shaft. During installation, the bearing is pressed against a shaft shoulder, whilst the sleeve fills the gap. Thanks to the external thread on the end face, the component also facilitates quick release of the press fit during repairs.
The component has an internal diameter of 110 mm to fit the cylindrical shaft, a maximum external diameter of 130 mm and a total width of 60 mm. The outer surface tapers at a ratio of 1:12.
The specification 1:12 describes the taper of the outer shell surface. Over an axial length of 12 mm, the diameter of the sleeve decreases by exactly 1 mm. This dimension corresponds to the internal taper of standard self-aligning roller bearings and self-aligning ball bearings with a tapered bore.
No, the scope of delivery does not include either a slotted nut or a retaining plate. For both installation and subsequent removal, you must select the appropriate pull-off nut and retaining element separately and ensure they are suitable for the installation method.
Whilst a mounting sleeve, together with the bearing, can be positioned freely on smooth shafts, the withdrawal sleeve requires firm contact with a shaft shoulder. It is pressed into the bearing from the opposite side and, thanks to a withdrawal thread, makes it considerably easier to remove the bearing.
When the tapered sleeve is driven into the bearing bore, the inner ring of the roller bearing expands radially. This reduces the remaining bearing clearance. This value must be monitored using a feeler gauge during the fitting process to prevent the bearing from being over-tightened.
