The FAG 33113 tapered roller bearing, measuring 65 × 110 × 34 mm, offers a high-load-capacity solution for combined radial and axial forces.
The 33113 tapered roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing in standard design, manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. It accommodates both radial forces and axial forces from one direction. Thanks to the tapered design of the rolling elements, the surfaces roll along the raceways without any disruptive slippage. The supply comprises the complete bearing, consisting of the inner ring with roller set and the corresponding outer ring.
This rolling bearing is used in designs where shafts are guided under combined loads. As a single-row tapered roller bearing, by design, can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, users usually fit a second bearing in a mirror-image configuration as a counter-guide. Typical applications include bearing arrangements subject to combined loads, where axial positioning accuracy and load-carrying capacity are required.
The integrated sheet steel cage guides the tapered rollers and maintains a uniform spacing between the rolling elements on the inner ring raceway. It provides the roller set with mechanical stability whilst being lightweight. Furthermore, the 33113 tapered roller bearing is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. The outer ring can be pressed in separately during assembly, which facilitates installation in housings.
With an internal diameter of 65 mm, an external diameter of 110 mm and a total width of 34 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions. These dimensions define the mounting conditions on the shaft and within the surrounding housing.
A single single-row tapered roller bearing accommodates axial forces from one direction only. To provide guidance in both directions, designers combine two bearings in an X or O configuration, which also allows the required operating clearance to be precisely adjusted.
P0 or PN denotes the standard tolerance, whilst ABEC 1 represents the corresponding classification according to the US standard. It defines the permissible dimensional and running error tolerances for use in general mechanical engineering.
The tapered roller bearing with a sheet steel cage is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. Within this range, the components retain their dimensional stability. When commissioning the bearing, a lubricant must be selected that covers this temperature range.
Tapered roller bearings are not of a self-retaining design. The inner ring, together with the roller cage, can be handled and fitted separately from the outer ring. This makes it easier to press the rings onto the shaft and into the housing bore, as well as facilitating subsequent inspection work.
