The FAG 33112 tapered roller bearing, measuring 60 × 100 × 30 mm, offers a heavy-duty solution for combined radial and axial forces in mechanical engineering.
The 33112 tapered roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing manufactured by FAG Wälzlager. With an inner diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a width of 30 mm, this complete tapered roller bearing covers a wide range of industrial applications. The tapered rolling elements roll on the raceways of the inner and outer rings and absorb radial as well as single-direction axial forces. A sheet steel cage guides the rollers evenly during operation.
The bearing simultaneously accommodates radial loads and unidirectional axial forces on a shaft. Thanks to the truncated conical rollers, this design transmits high forces in general mechanical engineering and in drive technology. As a single tapered roller bearing supports axial loads in only one direction, in practice it is usually fitted in a mirror-image arrangement with a second bearing.
The integrated sheet steel cage keeps the tapered rollers spaced apart and prevents direct contact between the rolling elements. This reduces friction and wear during rotation. The sheet steel design is characterised by high strength and a low moment of inertia. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The bearings are manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 to meet standard installation requirements.
The bearing has a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a total width of 30 mm. These dimensions determine the installation space required on the shaft and within the housing.
Tolerance class P0/PN corresponds to class ABEC 1. It describes the standard tolerance for dimensional, form and running accuracy. This version is suitable for the vast majority of standard applications in general mechanical engineering and industrial drives.
This tapered roller bearing is designed for ambient temperatures between –30 and +120 degrees Celsius. Within this temperature range, the bearing’s components retain their dimensional stability. The actual operating temperature limit also depends on the lubricant selected.
The outer ring can be fitted separately from the inner ring, together with the roller cage. This non-self-retaining design makes installation and removal from the housing and onto the shaft considerably easier, as both components can be fitted separately.
Due to its design, a single-row tapered roller bearing can only accommodate axial forces from one direction. Furthermore, the contact angle causes an internal axial force to arise under radial loading. To counteract these forces and provide axial guidance for the shaft on both sides, two bearings are arranged in an O or X configuration, facing each other.
This version features a sheet steel cage. The stamped sheet metal provides firm guidance for the rollers, is resistant to most lubricants and is suitable for demanding mechanical operating conditions.
