The FAG 33013 single-row tapered roller bearing, measuring 65 × 100 × 27 mm, is designed to accommodate combined radial and axial loads.
The 33013 tapered roller bearing is a standard-design, separable roller bearing. It simultaneously accommodates high radial forces and axial loads from one direction. Due to the tapered arrangement of the raceways, the rolling elements roll with low friction between the flanges of the inner ring and the outer ring raceway. The scope of supply includes the complete bearing, consisting of the inner ring with a guided roller cage and the separate outer ring.
Designs involving combined radial forces and single-sided axial loads place specific demands on the bearing arrangement. Typical applications can be found in general mechanical engineering, in industrial gearboxes and in wheel and axle bearings. Tapered roller bearings are often fitted in pairs in a mirror-image configuration. Such a paired arrangement reliably supports shafts against axial forces from both sides and stabilises rotating components in their intended position.
A robust sheet steel cage guides the tapered rollers securely and maintains a defined spacing between them. The component is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. In accordance with standard tolerance P0, comparable to ABEC 1, the bearing fits precisely into standard clearances. As the inner ring, including the roller set, and the outer ring can be fitted separately, installation can be carried out in stages. This facilitates precise alignment and adjustment of the bearing clearance.
The dimensions are 65 mm bore diameter, 100 mm outer diameter and 27 mm overall width. These metric dimensions comply with the standardised series and allow for a precise fit in corresponding housing bores and on suitable shaft seats.
The inner ring, roller cage and cage form a single, integral unit, whilst the outer ring can be removed separately. This design simplifies installation in machine assemblies, as the inner and outer rings can be pressed onto the shaft and into the housing separately.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. The built-in sheet steel cage retains its strength within this temperature range. For continuous operation, you should select a lubricant whose viscosity and thermal stability are suited to the operating temperature.
Single-row designs can accommodate high radial forces as well as axial forces from one direction. To accommodate axial loads from both directions, tapered roller bearings are usually mounted in pairs facing each other, for example in an X or O configuration on a shaft.
P0, also known as standard tolerance or ABEC 1, defines the permissible dimensional and runout tolerances in accordance with current industry standards. This accuracy class is suitable for the majority of industrial applications where standard requirements for rotational speed and running accuracy are required.
