The SKF 33210 single-row tapered roller bearing, measuring 50x90x32 mm, accommodates combined radial and axial loads in demanding industrial applications.
The SKF 33210 tapered roller bearing is a complete rolling bearing in a single-row standard design. Thanks to the line contact of the truncated conical rollers, this bearing can handle high radial forces whilst simultaneously accommodating axial loads from one direction. Manufactured in the Explorer design, the component combines optimised manufacturing standards with a temperature-resistant sheet steel cage. You receive a separable roller bearing whose inner ring, with its roller cage, can be mounted separately from the outer ring, which facilitates repair procedures in the workshop.
The 33210 tapered roller bearing is particularly suitable for gearbox shafts and heavy-duty drive trains where both radial and axial forces are present. As single-row tapered roller bearings can only accommodate axial loads in one direction, these components are typically fitted in pairs in an X or O arrangement, mirroring each other.
This paired arrangement ensures a play-free guidance of the rotating shaft. Design engineers use this design wherever a rigid shaft support is required under dynamic loads.
With the 33210 tapered roller bearing, you only adjust the bearing clearance during installation by positioning it precisely against a mating bearing. The component complies with the standard tolerance P0/PN (ABEC 1), which means it fits into common fit systems used in mechanical engineering.
The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements with minimal vibration and is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. As the bearing is of an open design, select the lubricant and external seal to suit the ambient conditions.
The bearing has a bore of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 90 mm and a total width of 32 mm. These standardised key dimensions allow for direct replacement in existing gearboxes and shaft guides, provided that the mating surfaces are designed to accommodate these dimensions.
The single-row tapered roller bearing is designed for combined loads. It withstands high radial forces whilst simultaneously guiding axial forces in one direction. If axial forces act from both directions, the design requires a second bearing, arranged in a mirror-image configuration on the shaft, to provide guidance on both sides.
The sheet steel cage maintains a uniform distance between the tapered rollers and guides them along the raceway of the inner ring. This cage design is characterised by its dimensional stability under mechanical vibrations and is compatible with the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
In this roller bearing, the inner ring, cage and set of rollers form a single, integral unit, whilst the outer ring remains fully removable. This separable design facilitates separate installation into the housing and onto the shaft, and simplifies the visual inspection of the raceways during maintenance work.
The bearing is specified for continuous operation between -30 and +120 degrees. Within this temperature range, dimensional stability and material properties are maintained. For continuous operation, select a lubricant whose viscosity and thermal stability are suitable for this operating range.
The product is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 classification. This represents the standardised dimensional and running accuracy for conventional mechanical engineering and allows it to be used on precisely machined shaft and housing seats.
