The FAG 32032 -X tapered roller bearing, with a 160 mm bore and an outer diameter of 240 mm, provides a robust guide for combined radial and axial forces.
The 32032 -X tapered roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing manufactured by FAG. Thanks to its inclined raceways, this design can accommodate high radial loads as well as unidirectional axial loads. With a width of 51 mm, this bearing is suitable for demanding shaft mountings in mechanical engineering and gearbox construction. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the tapered rollers evenly and keeps friction to a minimum during operation.
Typical applications include gearboxes and shaft guides where combined loads occur. The 32032 -X tapered roller bearing accommodates axial forces from one direction. For axial guidance on both sides, you would normally fit a second bearing in a mirror-image arrangement (X or O arrangement) on the shaft. The separable components facilitate the separate installation of the outer and inner rings together with the roller set.
This rolling bearing complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN (comparable to ABEC 1) and thus meets the usual precision requirements for standard industrial applications. The sheet steel cage is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As the bearing is not sealed, you should select the appropriate lubricant and ensure the housing is suitably sealed to suit the prevailing environmental conditions.
With a bore of 160 mm, an outside diameter of 240 mm and a total width of 51 mm, the bearing is available in a standard metric version.
Due to the tapered arrangement of the rolling elements, the bearing is suitable for simultaneously transmitting high radial forces and axial forces in one direction. If axial loads occur in alternating directions, the bearing must be combined with a second bearing mounted in the opposite direction.
The P0/PN classification (comparable to ABEC 1) defines the standard tolerance level for dimensional, geometric and running accuracy. It meets the standard requirements of common industrial applications.
The version with a sheet steel cage is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The actual usable temperature range also depends on the lubricant selected.
Cylindrical roller bearings of this type are not self-retaining. The outer ring can be fitted separately from the inner ring, together with the roller ring and steel cage, which simplifies installation in housings and on shafts.
Single-row tapered roller bearings do not have a fixed clearance when unmounted. You can only precisely adjust the operating clearance or preload during installation by positioning the bearing against the mating bearing.
