The FAG 32319 tapered roller bearing, with its main dimensions of 95 × 200 × 71.5 mm, accommodates combined radial and axial forces in mechanical engineering applications.
The 32319 tapered roller bearing is designed as a single-row roller bearing for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the tapered geometry of the raceways and rollers, this rolling bearing can simultaneously accommodate high radial forces as well as axial forces from a single direction. This FAG rolling bearing consists of an inner ring with a set of rollers and a separate outer ring. This split design facilitates assembly and allows for precise adjustment of the axial bearing clearance within the housing.
Design engineers prefer to use this bearing in bearing locations where high combined loads occur. As a single-row tapered roller bearing, by its very design, can only accommodate axial forces in one direction, it is usually fitted in a mirror-image configuration as a counter-bearing to a second bearing. This arrangement supports the shaft on both sides. The open design allows for direct integration into the lubrication system of the respective machine.
When fitting this rolling bearing, setting the axial bearing clearance is crucial for its subsequent service life. As the inner and outer rings are fitted separately, you adjust the bearing clearance directly via the fit. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, it meets standardised industrial requirements for dimensional and concentricity accuracy.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 95 mm, an external diameter of 200 mm and a total width of 71.5 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable a precise fit when installed in housings and on shafts in accordance with metric size series.
Tapered roller bearings are not designed to be self-retaining. The inner ring with its roller cage can be fitted separately from the flangeless outer ring. This makes installation and removal from housings considerably easier and allows for individual adjustment of the shaft and housing fits during assembly.
Single-row tapered roller bearings accommodate radial forces as well as axial loads in one direction. To accommodate alternating or bidirectional axial forces, such bearings are mounted in pairs facing each other, for example in an X or O configuration.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. In addition to the sheet steel cage and the bearing rings, the lubricant used and external temperature influences on the machine are the key factors determining thermal suitability during operation.
The classification according to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 denotes the standard industrial specification for dimensional, geometric and running accuracy. This specification is entirely sufficient for the vast majority of applications in general mechanical engineering and gearbox construction.
This bearing features a sheet steel cage. The cage maintains a uniform spacing between the tapered rollers and prevents them from coming into contact with one another, which helps to minimise friction and ensure the rollers are guided smoothly.
