The FAG 30326 single-row tapered roller bearing, with dimensions of 130 × 280 × 63.75 mm, is designed to withstand high combined radial and axial loads in heavy-duty industrial drives.
The FAG 30326 tapered roller bearing is designed as a complete rolling bearing for demanding applications in industrial and gearbox engineering. With an inside diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 280 mm and a width of 63.75 mm, the unit is characterised by high dimensional stability. Tapered rollers effectively dissipate radial forces as well as unilateral axial forces. Engineering and maintenance departments use this product for highly loaded bearing locations.
This bearing design accommodates high radial forces as well as axial forces acting in one direction, for example in industrial gearboxes with helical gearing. As single-row tapered roller bearings, by design, support axial loads in only one direction, they are normally mounted in a mirror-image configuration opposite a mating bearing in an X or O arrangement. This arrangement allows for precise adjustment of the operating clearance and ensures accurate guidance of rotating shafts.
A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage maintains the rollers at a uniform distance and is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees. The P0/PN tolerance class specification (comparable to ABEC 1) meets the standard requirements of drive technology. This ensures that the roller bearing fits precisely into the corresponding housing seats. As the inner ring with roller set and the outer ring can be separated, both components can be fitted in stages.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 130 mm, an external diameter of 280 mm and a total width of 63.75 mm. These standardised dimensions define the fits on the shaft and in the housing, and determine the required installation space within your design.
Thanks to the angled raceways of the inner and outer rings, this design can accommodate high radial forces as well as unidirectional axial forces. The extended contact lines of the tapered rollers converge at a common centre point, which minimises slippage in the contact area and increases the load-carrying capacity.
The classification according to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 represents the standardised normal tolerance in mechanical engineering. It defines binding limit dimensions for concentricity, dimensional accuracy and width deviations. For the majority of industrial applications, this level of accuracy ensures a low-vibration and dimensionally accurate fit.
The bearing is specified for continuous operation within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. Within this range, the dimensional stability of the rolling elements and the sheet steel cage remains constant. When commissioning the bearing, you must ensure that the temperature tolerance of the lubricant used is compatible with these limits.
A single tapered roller bearing supports axial forces in one direction only. To ensure that the shaft remains guided when load directions vary and that the bearing clearance can be precisely adjusted, a second bearing, mounted in a mirror-image configuration, is positioned opposite the first bearing.
FAG fits the roller bearing with a solid sheet steel cage. This component guides the individual tapered rollers precisely along their orbits, prevents the rolling elements from coming into contact with one another, and is resistant to operational vibrations and lubricant additives.
