The SKF 23226 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing (130x230x80 mm) combines a tapered bore with a W33 lubrication groove and enhanced P5 running accuracy for heavy radial loads.
The 23226 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing from SKF is designed for demanding applications involving high radial forces. Thanks to its double-row barrel rollers, the design automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection during operation. The open bearing, made from standard 100Cr6 rolling-element steel, is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements with minimal vibration and withstands mechanical stresses during continuous industrial operation.
This roller bearing is used wherever heavy radial loads occur and misalignment between the housing and shaft needs to be compensated for. Applications include heavily loaded industrial applications involving combined forces and demanding operating conditions. The open bearing design allows for flexible lubricant selection and facilitates integration into existing lubrication systems, whilst the design accommodates axial forces in both directions.
The suffix ‘K’ denotes the tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12. This design facilitates mounting on tapered shaft seats or using suitable clamping and withdrawal sleeves. The W33 designation refers to a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring. This allows grease or lubricating oil to be directed precisely between the two rows of rollers. In combination with dimensional accuracy PN and running accuracy P5, the bearing assembly achieves precise concentricity.
With a bore of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 230 mm and a width of 80 mm, the open bearing is a double-row design made from standard 100Cr6 roller bearing steel.
The ‘K’ stands for a tapered bore with a 1:12 taper, which allows for mounting on clamping sleeves or tapered shafts. The designation ‘W33’ refers to an annular lubrication groove, including lubrication holes in the outer ring for the supply of lubricant.
In this bearing, dimensional accuracy is to PN class, whilst running accuracy complies with the tighter P5 tolerance class. This combination ensures precise concentricity whilst maintaining standardised mounting dimensions on the shaft and housing.
With a standard radial bearing clearance, the bearing is suitable for typical fit conditions and moderate operating temperatures, where no thermal expansion beyond the usual extent is to be expected.
The roller bearing is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. The version with a sheet steel cage and without integrated contact seals is suitable for use within this temperature range.
Open roller bearings without seals require a suitable lubricant to be filled into them before commissioning. Grease or lubricating oil can be applied directly into the bearing via the lubrication groove and the lubrication holes on the outer ring.
