The SKF 23060 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing, measuring 300 × 460 × 118 mm, provides a robust bearing solution for high radial forces in applications where the shaft is subject to deflection.
The double-row 23060 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing simultaneously accommodates high radial and axial forces in both directions. The barrel-shaped rollers move on a common spherical outer ring raceway, enabling the bearing to automatically compensate for misalignment and shaft deflection. Manufactured from standard rolling-element bearing steel 100Cr6 and available in the SKF Explorer performance class, it is suitable for use under demanding operating conditions in continuous industrial service.
Its primary area of application is in bearing arrangements subject to heavy radial loads, combined axial forces and a tendency towards elastic shaft deflection. Thanks to the spherical raceway, the bearing compensates for housing deformations without causing impermissible additional stresses. The internal design counteracts edge pressures on the rolling elements. As this is an open bearing without seals, it is used in housings sealed on site with a suitable lubrication supply.
The designation ‘K’ indicates a tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12. This allows mounting directly onto tapered shaft seats or, using clamping and withdrawal sleeves, onto cylindrical shafts, enabling the bearing clearance to be precisely adjusted during installation. The W33 designation indicates an annular lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring. This allows lubricant to reach directly between the rows of rollers, which simplifies relubrication and promotes heat dissipation within a temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees.
With an internal diameter of 300 mm, an external diameter of 460 mm and a width of 118 mm, the spherical roller bearing complies with the standardised dimensions of the 23060 series.
The suffix CCK denotes a sheet steel cage and a tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12. This design facilitates mounting on tapered shaft seats or clamping sleeves.
W33 denotes a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring. This allows grease or lubricating oil to enter directly into the bearing interior, between the rows of rolling elements.
This version is supplied with standard radial bearing clearance (CN). When fitted onto a tapered seat, this radial clearance is specifically reduced to achieve a ready-to-use interference fit.
The component is made from 100Cr6 roller bearing steel with a sheet steel cage and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees, and is compatible with a heat-stable lubricant.
The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 standard. This meets the standard requirements for running accuracy and dimensional accuracy in mechanical engineering.
