The SKF 23026 CC/C3W33 self-aligning roller bearing, measuring 130 × 200 × 52 mm, offers C3 radial clearance and an integrated lubrication groove for demanding industrial applications.
The 23026 CC/C3W33 self-aligning roller bearing is an open, double-row roller bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6). The design, featuring a hollow-spherical outer ring raceway, automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection during operation. Thanks to the slightly increased C3 bearing clearance, the bearing is suitable for operating conditions involving thermal expansion or tight fits. This version features a sheet steel cage and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees.
This self-aligning roller bearing accommodates high radial forces as well as axial loads acting in both directions. Its symmetrical barrel rollers automatically adjust in the event of misalignment or shaft deflection, thereby preventing excessive edge stresses. As this is an open bearing, protection against contamination and lubricant loss is provided by an external housing seal.
The designation summarises key design features: the abbreviation CC stands for an internal configuration with a guide-free centre ring and pressed sheet steel cages, which reduces friction. The C3 clearance class provides increased radial clearance, ensuring that no impermissible preload develops as a result of operational heating. The W33 designation indicates a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring for the direct supply of lubricant.
The bearing has a bore diameter of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a total width of 52 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely onto suitable shafts and into corresponding housings.
The radial clearance C3 is greater than the standard clearance. At high speeds, when the bearing heats up significantly, or in the case of tight fits, the shaft and inner ring expand. The additional clearance prevents the rollers from seizing up and helps to prevent overheating.
The W33 design features an external groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring. This allows lubricant to flow directly between the two rows of rollers into the bearing interior. This simplifies relubrication and ensures even distribution of lubricant within the housing.
This bearing combines ‘Normal’ (PN) dimensional accuracy with enhanced running accuracy of class P5. This makes it suitable for precision shaft guidance applications where low runout is required with standard fit dimensions.
The bearing, made from 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and featuring a sheet steel cage, is designed for temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. The choice of lubricant and the external housing seal must be suited to the respective operating temperature range.
