The SKF 23026 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing (130x200x52 mm) withstands heavy radial loads and compensates for misalignment of the rotating shaft.
The 23026 CC/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is a rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) for demanding industrial applications. The barrel-shaped rollers run on a common hollow spherical outer ring raceway, enabling the bearing to adapt to misalignments through angular movement. SKF manufactures this design in the Explorer performance class with standard radial clearance. The open bearing has a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 52 mm.
This rolling bearing is suitable for designs where high loads occur and elastic shaft deflection is to be expected. With larger bearing spacings, alignment errors between the housing seats may occur due to installation. The self-aligning roller bearing compensates for these misalignments during operation without causing adverse edge pressure. The design simultaneously accommodates high radial forces and axial forces acting on both sides, thereby relieving mechanical stress on adjacent components.
The abbreviation CC describes inner rings without a guide ring, featuring symmetrical rollers and window-type sheet steel cages that reduce friction. W33 denotes a circumferential lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, which simplifies targeted relubrication. The tolerance class combines standard dimensional accuracy (PN) with enhanced P5 running accuracy for smooth concentricity. When selecting a lubricant, the permissible temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees must also be taken into account.
The roller bearing has an inside diameter of 130 mm, an outside diameter of 200 mm and a width across flats of 52 mm. These standardised key dimensions define the installation space required on the shaft and in the housing seat.
The designation W33 refers to a lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring of the bearing. This allows grease or lubricating oil to flow directly from the outside between the rows of rollers, which promotes even distribution of the lubricant during operation.
The CC design refers to a spherical roller bearing with symmetrical rollers, an inner ring without a guide ring, and stamped sheet steel cages. This design ensures low-friction rolling of the rolling elements and promotes stable running behaviour even with varying load directions.
The component is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. Thanks to the heat treatment of the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel, the bearing retains its dimensional stability, provided that the lubricant used is suitable for the respective operating temperature.
Class P5 denotes a tighter concentricity tolerance compared with the standard PN dimension. This level of precision reduces vibrations and concentricity errors in rotating shafts, thereby improving the smooth running of the powertrain.
As this bearing is an open-type design and does not have any integrated seals, the surrounding housing must be fitted with suitable sealing elements. An external seal protects the raceways from dirt particles and prevents the lubricant from leaking out uncontrollably.
