The SKF 21310 E spherical roller bearing, measuring 50x110x27 mm, can accommodate high radial loads as well as misalignment.
The 21310 E self-aligning roller bearing is an open roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications involving combined loads. With a bore of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 27 mm, the component fits onto shafts with corresponding dimensions. Thanks to its construction from standard rolling-bearing steel (100Cr6) with a sheet steel cage, the unit retains its dimensional stability. The permissible temperature range is between –30 and +200 degrees.
This self-aligning roller bearing automatically compensates for misalignment between the shaft and housing caused by manufacturing or loading. The symmetrically arranged rollers absorb high radial forces as well as axial forces acting on both sides. Typical applications include shaft mountings where deflection or misalignment may occur. Thanks to its open design, the bearing can be integrated into lubricated housings, whilst the standard radial clearance is optimised for normal operating temperatures and standard fits.
The outer ring features a circumferential lubrication groove and lubrication holes. This design facilitates relubrication during operation, as lubricant is fed directly between the roller sets. In addition to dimensional accuracy PN, the bearing features the tighter running accuracy P5. This ensures precise concentricity during operation. During assembly, clean mating surfaces and a suitable external housing seal are recommended, as the open bearing has no integrated protection against the ingress of dirt.
With a bore of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 27 mm, the bearing is suitable for standardised bearing seats. These standardised dimensions enable a precise fit when installed in housings and on cylindrical shaft sections.
A circumferential groove with lubrication holes on the outer ring ensures a targeted supply of lubricant. This allows grease or lubricating oil to enter the bearing directly during operation and to be distributed evenly across the raceways. This simplifies regular maintenance and supports the functioning of the open bearing design.
This combines the dimensional accuracy PN with the tighter running accuracy P5. Whilst the connection dimensions comply with standard tolerances, the concentricity tolerance is more stringent. This contributes to uniform concentricity and is suitable for assemblies with increased requirements for running precision.
This version is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with a sheet steel cage, the component remains dimensionally stable and fully functional within these limits, even under thermal stress.
Designed without integrated sealing washers, this design is suitable for applications in which the component operates within a sealed housing or is protected by external seals. The open design also allows for the unimpeded circulation of liquid lubricants.
The factory-set radial clearance between the roller elements and raceways corresponds to the standard class and is matched to the usual fit conditions between the shaft and housing. At average operating temperatures, this ensures that the necessary operating clearance for uniform load transmission is maintained.
