The SKF 22326 CCKJA/W33VA405 spherical roller bearing, measuring 130 x 280 x 93 mm, offers high load-carrying capacity under severe vibration loads and misalignment.
The 22326 CCKJA/W33VA405 self-aligning roller bearing is an open roller bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) for demanding industrial drives. The double-row roller arrangement automatically compensates for misalignment between the shaft and housing. Thanks to the tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12, the bearing can be fitted without play onto tapered shaft seats or using adapter sleeves. SKF manufactures this design with tight tolerances to P5 on the bore and P6 on the outer diameter.
Design engineers specifically use this special design in vibrating screens and vibrating machines. Where dynamic imbalances, high radial accelerations and shock loads occur, the sheet steel cage guides the rollers stably within the raceway. The open design allows for flexible lubrication with oil or grease directly inside the housing. The component is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees Celsius.
In vibrating machinery, constant centrifugal forces and shaft deflection generate additional frictional heat and cause deformation. The significantly increased radial bearing clearance counteracts unacceptable seizing or jamming caused by operational heating. Furthermore, the increased operating clearance reduces the thermal load on the rolling elements. When fitting onto the tapered seat, you expand the inner ring in a controlled manner to precisely set the required residual radial clearance.
This SKF rolling bearing is specially designed for vibrating screens and oscillating loads. It features a tapered bore (1:12), significantly increased radial clearance, a sheet steel cage and tighter tolerances of P5 for the bore and P6 for the outer ring, with dimensions of 130 × 280 × 93 mm.
The main dimensions are 130 mm internal diameter (bore), 280 mm external diameter and 93 mm width. As the bore is tapered, the diameter tapers at a ratio of 1:12 along the width of the bearing to ensure a precise fit on clamping sleeves or tapered shafts.
Vibrating applications, such as vibrating screens, generate friction and dynamic acceleration forces during operation, causing the inner ring to heat up more than the outer ring. The significantly increased radial bearing clearance compensates for this thermal expansion as well as for the reduction in clearance that occurs when the tapered inner ring is pressed into place.
According to the specification, the outer ring of this bearing is designed without a groove or lubrication bore. The lubricant is therefore supplied from the side via the surrounding bearing housing, meaning that the outer ring provides a continuous, uninterrupted running surface for high mechanical strength.
The bearing, made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees Celsius. This temperature range allows it to be used in thermally demanding industrial environments, provided that a lubricant with appropriate temperature stability is used in the housing.
The bearing is mounted either directly onto a taper-ground shaft journal or, on cylindrical shafts, using a clamping or withdrawal sleeve. The axial displacement during tightening causes the inner ring to expand slightly, thereby reducing the radial bearing clearance in a controlled manner to the required operating clearance.
