The SKF 22330 CCJA/W33VA405 self-aligning roller bearing, measuring 150 × 320 × 108 mm, is specifically designed for oscillating loads in vibrating screens.
This double-row roller bearing, made from standard bearing steel 100Cr6, withstands high radial loads and compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection during operation. The design is engineered to withstand severe vibrational stresses, such as those encountered in screening processes. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the symmetrical barrel rollers evenly, even during rapid changes in vibration, and keeps friction at the rolling element contact points to a minimum.
During vibratory operation, alternating accelerations generate additional frictional heat, which leads to rapid heating of the inner rings. The significantly increased radial bearing clearance ensures that the bearing does not become stressed during thermal expansion and that the required operating clearance is maintained. The permissible temperature range of -30 to +200 degrees covers both cold starts and high thermal loads.
To minimise relative movements between the shaft and the bearing rings under vibrational loads, this special design features tighter manufacturing tolerances: the bore is manufactured to tolerance class P5 and the outer ring to P6. This counteracts ring migration and reduces the risk of fretting corrosion. As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied laterally via the bearing housing.
The main dimensions are 150 mm internal diameter, 320 mm external diameter and 108 mm width. The component is manufactured from hardened standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6 to ensure high load-carrying capacity.
During screening operations, strong vibrations and friction lead to temperature differences between the inner and outer rings. The significantly increased radial bearing clearance prevents the bearing from becoming stressed due to operational thermal expansion.
The bore, to tolerance class P5, and the external diameter, to tolerance class P6, ensure greater dimensional accuracy. This reduces relative play between the shaft and the housing seat and helps to prevent the formation of rust in the fit.
As an open-bearing design, this component has no integrated seals. Protection against dirt, moisture and particles must be provided by means of a suitable housing seal.
The permissible operating range extends from -30 to +200 degrees. This ensures that the bearing remains functional in continuous operation, both at low ambient temperatures and in the face of intense process heat.
As the outer ring is designed without a groove or lubrication holes, lubricant cannot be supplied radially via the outer ring. Instead, grease or lubricating oil is supplied from the end faces via the housing.
