The FAG 1312 -K-TVH-C3 double-row self-aligning ball bearing, with a 60 mm bore and C3 clearance, offers a tailored solution for bearing mountings with misalignment.
The 1312 -K-TVH-C3 self-aligning ball bearing is a double-row rolling bearing from FAG, manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel 100Cr6 to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. Thanks to the hollow-spherical outer ring raceway, the component automatically compensates for angular misalignment between the inner and outer rings. In the event of shaft deflection, the bearing compensates for these deviations without generating harmful forced forces. The design is suitable for demanding shaft mountings in accordance with established industry standards.
This double-row rolling bearing is suitable for designs where elastic shaft deflection or misalignment occurs between housing mountings. The two rows of balls primarily absorb radial loads and support rotating shafts. Due to its permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees, the unit is suitable for general machine shafts and industrial drives. The open design also allows for flexible lubricant selection via the surrounding machine housing.
The suffix ‘K’ refers to the tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12, which allows the bearing to be mounted directly onto tapered shaft seats or using a shrink sleeve. The polyamide cage (TVH) guides the rolling elements with low friction and dampens vibrations. Thanks to the slightly increased radial clearance (C3), the required operating clearance is maintained even after press-fitting onto the taper and during thermal expansion in operation.
Thanks to the hollow spherical raceway in the outer ring, the double-row design automatically compensates for misalignment and deflection of the shaft. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, the bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). It primarily accommodates radial loads and is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
With an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm, the bearing complies with standardised dimensions. These standardised key dimensions facilitate selection for designs, new installations and the direct replacement of components during upcoming maintenance work.
The tapered bore, with a taper ratio of 1:12, allows for mounting on a tapered shaft seat or for securing to cylindrical shafts using a clamping or withdrawal sleeve. When sliding the bearing axially onto the tapered seat, the radial bearing clearance can be adjusted in a controlled manner to achieve the correct fit.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard clearance CN. This additional clearance helps to ensure that the inner ring retains sufficient radial clearance after elastic expansion during press-fitting onto the tapered seat or as a result of thermal expansion during operation.
The polyamide cage (TVH) is characterised by its low weight, elastic damping properties and smooth running. It separates and guides the rolling elements of both rows of balls with low friction across the entire permissible operating range from -30 to +120 degrees.
As an open roller bearing, the product has no integrated sealing washers. This allows the lubricant, such as grease or lubricating oil, to be supplied directly via the housing design. Open bearings require an external housing seal, but offer complete flexibility in the choice of suitable lubricant.
