The 2307-TVH self-aligning ball bearing, measuring 35 × 80 × 31 mm, compensates for misalignment with its double-row design and guides the balls in a lightweight polyamide cage.
The 2307-TVH self-aligning ball bearing from FAG is a double-row rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel 100Cr6 with a cylindrical bore. The shared hollow-ball raceway in the outer ring allows the inner ring to angle out. This allows design-related misalignments or shaft deflections to be compensated for during operation without causing disruptive edge stresses. The bearing has a bore of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 31 mm.
This bearing is primarily used where shaft deflection or misalignment between the bearing seats may occur. Typical applications include industrial drives and general machine mountings with solid shafts. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, the lubricant can be freely selected depending on operational requirements. You can integrate the bearing directly into an external sealing system or an existing oil or grease lubrication system.
The TVH suffix denotes the integrated polyamide cage, which maintains a uniform distance between the two rows of balls. Compared with versions made from sheet steel or brass, this material reduces both the weight and the moving masses. The polyamide cage contributes to low-vibration and quiet operation. This bearing is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. Furthermore, tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), in conjunction with standard radial bearing clearance, meets common industrial installation requirements.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a total width of 31 mm. It has a standard inner ring and fits onto cylindrical shaft seats of the corresponding diameter.
At FAG, the abbreviation TVH stands for a polyamide cage. This cage guides the rolling elements whilst having a low mass itself, dampens running noise and is suitable for operating temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees.
The outer ring has a continuous hollow spherical raceway for both rows of balls. This allows the assembly comprising the inner ring, cage and balls to tilt around the bearing centre within certain limits, thereby compensating for angular misalignment between the shaft and the housing.
The component is manufactured with a standard radial bearing clearance. This standard bearing clearance is suitable for standard fits on shafts and housings, as well as for applications without exceptionally high temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
This is an open bearing with no sliding seal rings or cover plates. Lubricants can circulate freely. A suitable housing seal must be fitted to protect against dirt and moisture.
The bearing rings and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. This material offers high wear resistance and dimensional stability within the specified temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
