The FAG 2202 -2RS-TVH self-aligning ball bearing, measuring 15x35x14 mm, compensates for angular misalignment and, thanks to its lip seal, protects against the ingress of dirt.
With the 2202 -2RS-TVH self-aligning ball bearing, you are choosing a double-row rolling bearing for demanding shaft mountings. The shared hollow-spherical raceway in the outer ring allows the rows of balls to swing freely, thereby compensating for misalignment or shaft deflection during operation. This FAG model has a bore of 15 mm, an outer diameter of 35 mm and a width of 14 mm. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), the design covers a wide range of industrial applications.
This self-aligning ball bearing is used where elastic deformations of the shaft or manufacturing-related misalignments between the bearing seats occur. The spherical outer ring raceway accommodates misalignments during operation without causing localised stress concentrations at the raceway edges. Typical applications include industrial bearing arrangements with long shaft spacings or flexible housing structures, where rigid bearing designs would quickly become overloaded.
The suffix 2RS denotes abiding seals fitted on both sides. This design keeps out dust and moisture and prevents the lubricant from leaking out. The letter suffix TVH refers to a polyamide cage, which contributes to quiet and vibration-damped operation. In combination with the standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1, the component is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +100 degrees Celsius.
Thanks to the hollow spherical raceway in the outer ring, the double-row design automatically compensates for misalignment between the shaft and the housing. As a result, shaft deflection and misalignment place less localised stress on the component than rigid bearings do.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 15 mm, an outer diameter of 35 mm and a total width of 14 mm. The inner ring is manufactured in a standard cylindrical design and fits onto smooth shaft seats with the appropriate fit.
The suffix TVH denotes a polyamide cage design. Plastic cages operate quietly, absorb shocks and reduce the weight of the unit. Due to the nature of the material, the permissible temperature range is between -30 and +100 degrees Celsius.
The designation 2RS stands for contact seals fitted on both sides. This design protects the interior of the bearing from fine particles of dirt and moisture. At the same time, it helps to ensure that the lubricant remains in the area of the rolling elements.
Standard bearing clearance means that the component has the manufacturer’s standard clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways. There is no increased bearing clearance, as is the case with C3, which is designed for conventional thermal and mechanical operating conditions.
The bearing complies with the standard tolerance classes P0 and PN, as well as ABEC 1. This classification defines the dimensional, geometric and running accuracy of the inner and outer rings for standard requirements in mechanical engineering and drive technology.
