The FAG 1306-TVH double-row self-aligning ball bearing compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection with a 30 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 19 mm width.
The 1306-TVH self-aligning ball bearing is a self-aligning rolling bearing made from 100Cr6 bearing steel. The shared hollow-spherical raceway in the outer ring allows the two rows of balls to swivel flexibly. The design compensates for operational shaft deflection or misalignment between the bearing seats. With a tolerance class of P0 or ABEC 1, the bearing meets standard industrial requirements.
The 1306-TVH self-aligning ball bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements with long shafts or where housing misalignments occur due to manufacturing tolerances. As an open rolling bearing without integrated seals, it allows the lubricant to circulate freely. An external housing seal must be fitted to protect the rolling elements from dirt and moisture.
The suffix ‘TVH’ denotes a solid polyamide cage that guides the rolling elements. The material keeps the cage weight low and promotes smooth running. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. Thanks to the cylindrical bore with a standard inner ring and normal radial clearance, the component can be mounted precisely on cylindrical shaft seats.
Two rows of balls and a continuous hollow-spherical outer ring raceway enable the inner ring, together with the ball set, to automatically compensate for angular misalignment between the shaft and the housing. Radial load-carrying capacity is maintained even in the event of slight misalignment.
With a bore diameter of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 19 mm, this version complies with standardised key dimensions. This means the component can be used as a direct replacement for self-aligning ball bearings of identical dimensions.
At FAG, TVH refers to an injection-moulded solid cage made of polyamide. The material offers damping properties and is suitable for operating temperatures of up to +120 degrees Celsius.
As the bearing is manufactured without integrated grinding or cover discs, lubrication with grease or oil is provided via the surrounding housing structure. The open design allows for unimpeded lubricant exchange and facilitates relubrication.
The bearing has a standard radial clearance (CN). This standard covers typical shaft and housing fits at normal operating temperatures without any exceptional fit allowances.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. These limits are determined by the heat resistance of the polyamide cage and the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel.
