The FAG 2207-TVH self-aligning ball bearing automatically compensates for misalignment and, with dimensions of 35 × 72 × 23 mm, offers a proven load-carrying capacity for angularly movable shaft mountings.
The double-row self-aligning ball bearing 2207 -TVH from FAG Rolling Bearings is characterised by its hollow-spherical outer ring raceway. This design enables the two rows of balls to compensate for angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. Manufactured from 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel, the bearing complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1). With a bore of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 72 mm and a width of 23 mm, this roller bearing is suitable for industrial applications where elastic shaft deflection may occur.
The spherical raceway in the outer ring allows the balls to adjust freely when the shaft is misaligned relative to the bearing housing. This prevents unacceptable edge pressures when shafts deflect elastically or when misalignment errors arising from the manufacturing process occur. Designs with longer support spans or dynamic deflection make use of this angularly adjustable design. The open design facilitates lubricant access via the surrounding machine housing and keeps friction losses to a minimum during operation.
The suffix TVH denotes a moulded, solid polyamide cage that guides the rolling elements precisely. The material provides an elastic ball bearing surface, dampens running noise and reduces the weight of the rolling element set. In conjunction with the standard radial bearing clearance, this design covers an operating temperature range from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As the bearing is supplied unsealed, lubrication and protection against contamination are provided on site via the housing.
Thanks to the hollow spherical raceway in the outer ring, this double-row self-aligning ball bearing compensates for misalignment of the shaft. The design reduces additional loads caused by shaft deflection and misalignment.
The dimensions are 35 mm internal diameter, 72 mm external diameter and 23 mm width. The inner ring is manufactured in a standard cylindrical design.
The designation TVH refers to a solid, injection-moulded polyamide cage. This type of cage is characterised by smooth running, low inertia and elastic guidance of the rolling elements.
As an open bearing, the Model 2207-TVH has no integrated grinding or cover discs. It allows for direct lubricant replacement within the housing and requires external sealing to protect against dirt and moisture.
The permissible operating temperature range for the combination of a polyamide cage and 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. Within this range, the material and the cage retain their mechanical properties.
The component is fitted with standard radial bearing clearance for normal installation conditions. The dimensional and concentricity tolerances comply with tolerance classes P0 and PN respectively, in accordance with ISO, as well as ABEC 1.
