The FAG 1311-TVH double-row self-aligning ball bearing (55x120x29 mm) compensates for misalignment and, thanks to its polyamide cage, operates with low noise and vibration.
The FAG 1311-TVH self-aligning ball bearing is a double-row rolling bearing with a 55 mm bore, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 29 mm. Thanks to the spherical outer ring raceway, this bearing automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection during operation. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), the component is suitable for industrial bearing arrangements operating at medium to high speeds. As an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems.
The 1311 -TVH self-aligning ball bearing is particularly suitable for shaft mountings where misalignment occurs in the housing or where the shaft deflects under load. Typical applications include long shaft guides and mountings that are structurally prone to housing misalignment. The double-row system primarily absorbs radial forces, but also supports the shaft under light axial loads. The angularly adjustable design prevents unacceptable edge pressures on the rolling elements.
The suffix TVH denotes a solid polyamide cage, which ensures quiet operation and low friction losses. The elastic material dampens shock loads and reduces the rolling bearing’s own weight compared with variants featuring a metal cage. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. Due to the open design, users can select the lubrication (grease or oil) and the external sealing concept to suit the specific environment.
The bearing has a bore of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 29 mm. These standardised dimensions allow for direct replacement in housings and assemblies designed for this installation space.
The suffix TVH denotes a solid polyamide cage. This plastic cage guides the rolling elements with low friction, reduces noise during operation and dampens dynamic vibrations. The material is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
A shared hollow spherical raceway in the outer ring allows both rows of balls to swing out freely together with the inner ring. The bearing thereby automatically compensates for housing misalignment or elastic shaft deflection during operation, without generating any additional constraint forces.
The standard radial bearing clearance refers to the defined radial clearance between the balls and the raceways when the bearing is unmounted. This standard dimension is designed to ensure that the bearing runs freely after being mounted on the shaft and under normal operating temperatures.
As the bearing is supplied without integrated sealing washers, please select a lubricant suitable for your design. It can be lubricated using an external grease or an oil bath or recirculating lubrication system. The surrounding housing must contain the lubricant and protect it from contamination.
The bearing rings and rolling elements are made from through-hardened standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). This material is characterised by high hardness and dimensional stability. Together with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), the bearing meets all standard requirements for industrial and spare-part applications.
