The FAG NU2219 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row non-locating bearing with a brass cage, designed for high radial loads, with dimensions of 95 × 170 × 43 mm.
The FAG NU2219 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing, as a single-row radial roller bearing, accommodates high radial forces in mechanical engineering. With a bore of 95 mm, an outside diameter of 170 mm and a width of 43 mm, this open bearing complies with standard tolerance P0 or ABEC 1. It has a standard radial clearance and operates within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. Thanks to its brass cage, the bearing guides the cylindrical rollers precisely and is suitable for demanding industrial drives.
This cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to purely radial loads in general machinery and gearbox construction. In the NU design, the product functions as a classic idler bearing. Because the outer ring has solid flanges and the inner ring is flangeless, the bearing compensates for axial length changes in the shaft directly between the rollers and the inner ring raceway without any binding. At the same time, the line contact of the cylindrical rollers provides high radial stiffness.
The brass cage offers high strength and thermal stability up to 150 degrees, enabling it to withstand dynamic forces in heavy-duty drives. As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, you can mount the inner and outer rings separately onto the shaft and housing. As this open bearing has no seals and no lubrication bore on the outer ring, you can tailor the lubricant supply and external sealing directly to the surrounding housing.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 43 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into standardised housing bores and onto corresponding shaft seats in industrial machinery and plant engineering.
In the NU design, fixed flanges on the outer ring guide the rollers, whilst the inner ring has no flange. This allows the inner ring to move axially relative to the set of rollers. This design compensates for temperature-induced changes in the length of the shaft without causing stress and prevents harmful axial stresses in the bearing assembly.
A brass cage keeps the cylindrical rolling elements at a uniform distance apart and reduces friction during operation. Compared with simple sheet-metal cages, brass offers greater stability, dampens vibrations and is particularly suitable for applications involving dynamic loads.
The permissible temperature range for this open bearing is between -30 and +150 degrees Celsius. In practice, the actual operating temperature depends largely on the grease or lubricating oil used, as open bearings that are not factory-filled with grease are lubricated by the respective unit.
The P0 or PN classification corresponds to the standard tolerance and is comparable to the US ABEC Class 1. It defines the permissible dimensional, form and running tolerances for bores, outer diameters and axial run-out. This tolerance class meets the typical requirements of general machinery and gearbox manufacturing.
This bearing has no lubrication groove or lubrication bore in the outer ring. Lubricating oil or grease must therefore be applied to the open bearing from the side via the adjacent structure. When designing the assembly, ensure that suitable external seals are fitted to prevent the ingress of dirt and the loss of lubricant during operation.
