The SKF YET206 clamping bearing, with a 30 mm bore, eccentric clamping ring and spherical outer ring, offers an easy-to-install solution for housing mountings.
The YET206 clamping bearing is a ready-to-fit rolling bearing unit for radial loads. Manufactured from standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, the bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. The design features an inner ring that is widened on one side and can be quickly secured onto the shaft using the accompanying eccentric clamping ring. For demanding environmental conditions, the unit is fitted with a seal that contacts the shaft on both sides, as well as a relubrication facility.
Typical applications for this bearing unit include fixed, flanged or clamping housings, where predominantly radial loads occur. Thanks to the crowned outer ring, the unit compensates for static misalignment or angular errors between the housing and the shaft. The double-sided seal keeps contaminants such as dust or moisture away from the ball set. The unit is suitable for industrial housing bearings in a temperature range of -20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The eccentric clamping ring allows for a positive and force-fit mounting directly onto smooth shafts, preferably with a constant direction of rotation. Tightening the ring with a rotational movement and securing it with the threaded pin reduces the effort required for installation. Thanks to the inner ring being widened on one side, the component sits stably on the shaft without tilting. Furthermore, the bearing is relubricatable, meaning that lubricant can be topped up as required during the ongoing maintenance cycle.
The unit has an internal diameter of 30 mm, an external diameter of 62 mm and a total width of 35.7 mm. These dimensions are designed to ensure that the component can be fitted into standardised housing units.
The assembly is secured by means of an eccentric clamping ring fitted to the inner ring, which is extended on one side. Turning the ring in the direction of shaft rotation creates a firm clamping fit, which is then secured against accidental loosening by a grub screw.
The spherically ground outer ring surface serves to compensate for angular misalignment and manufacturing-related misalignment between the shaft and the housing. During assembly, the bearing automatically aligns itself within the housing to match the shaft alignment.
The component is fitted with a seal that provides a sliding seal on both sides. The sealing lips make contact with the inner ring, shielding against dirt particles and splash water, and help to prevent the lubricant from leaking out.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. The 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel used remains dimensionally stable within this range and ensures consistent concentricity.
Yes, this model is designed to be relubricated. Fresh roller bearing grease can be applied via suitable lubrication holes in the housing and outer ring as required, which extends the service life in dusty or high-temperature applications.
