The SKF 61815 deep groove ball bearing, measuring 75 × 95 × 10 mm, features a particularly narrow design for space-saving shaft mountings.
The 61815 deep groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing from SKF in a narrow design. With an inside diameter of 75 mm and an outside diameter of 95 mm, this bearing requires a width of just 10 mm. It primarily accommodates radial loads as well as low axial forces. Thanks to its small cross-section, the product enables lightweight designs and is suitable for installation spaces where wider series cannot be accommodated.
This rolling bearing is primarily used in compact housings and thin-walled designs. Typical applications include rotary mechanisms, gearbox housings with limited installation depth, and assemblies in general mechanical engineering where a large shaft diameter is combined with a small outer diameter. As it is manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel 100Cr6, dimensional stability is maintained under load. The temperature range extends from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use in industrial environments.
This bearing has no integrated cover or sealing washers. The open design allows lubricant to reach the raceways unimpeded, which is why this version is recommended for oil-lubricated systems or externally sealed bearing seats. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements and keeps the weight low. Thanks to the standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (equivalent to ABEC 1), the component can be fitted precisely into standardised bearing seats.
With a bore of 75 mm, an outside diameter of 95 mm and a width of 10 mm, the bearing has a very narrow cross-section. This geometry is suitable for designs that combine a large shaft diameter with a small radial installation space requirement.
This classification, comparable to ABEC 1, denotes the standard precision for rolling bearings. Dimensional, geometric and running accuracy are within the standard tolerance limits, which enables them to be fitted into standardised housing and shaft seats in industrial mechanical engineering.
As the bearing does not have any integrated seals, it is lubricated with grease or oil via the surrounding machinery. A clean installation environment and external sealing of the housing are recommended for operation.
This refers to the standard radial clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. This clearance is designed to ensure proper operation under standard fits and at operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The rings and rolling elements are made from standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel. The cage is made from sheet steel, which helps to keep the bearing’s weight low.
