The SKF 6030 -2RS1 deep groove ball bearing offers protection on both sides via lip seals and has dimensions of 150 x 225 x 35 mm.
The 6030-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing is a single-row radial ball bearing made from standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel. The bearing is manufactured by SKF and has a bore of 150 mm, an outside diameter of 225 mm and a width of 35 mm. The design accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces in both directions. Thanks to its manufacture to standard tolerances (P0/PN or ABEC 1), this rolling bearing fits into standardised housing and shaft seats.
This deep-groove ball bearing is designed for shaft diameters of 150 mm, where axial loads occur in addition to radial forces. An integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly within the raceway and ensures smooth running. Thanks to the double-sided sealing, this design is particularly suitable for operating environments where protection against dust and moisture is required.
The seal, which runs against the raceway on both sides, shields the interior against the ingress of dirt particles and moisture and retains the grease within the rolling element chamber. The version with standard radial bearing clearance is designed for operating conditions where there are no significant temperature differences between the inner and outer rings. With a temperature range of -20 to +120 degrees, the component covers typical operating conditions.
With an internal diameter of 150 mm, an external diameter of 225 mm and a width of 35 mm, the bearing is suitable for shafts with a diameter of 150 mm. The outer ring is designed without a flange or groove, which allows it to be fitted into cylindrical housing bores.
The 2RS1 version features sliding seals fitted on both sides. These sealing lips make contact with the inner ring and help to protect against contamination and moisture. At the same time, they help to keep the lubricant inside the rolling bearing.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the defined radial clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. It ensures that the bearing can rotate freely after assembly using standard fits, provided that no significant thermal expansion occurs during operation.
The bearing is designed for a temperature range of -20 to +120 degrees. This operating range covers standard conditions in industrial applications. Operation outside this range may adversely affect the material of the seals and the lubricating effect.
The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0, also known as PN or ABEC 1. This accuracy class defines the permissible tolerances for dimensional and running errors and corresponds to the common standard for industrial shaft and housing fits.
A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements at a uniform distance along the raceway. Sheet steel cages offer good mechanical strength whilst being lightweight, and are resistant to the lubricants used within the specified temperature range.
