The FAG NU210 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 50x90x20 mm, offers a separable loose-fit bearing solution for withstanding high radial forces in industrial drives.
The FAG NU210 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is designed as a single-row radial roller bearing for high radial loads. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, this design offers a high radial load-carrying capacity. The NU design is characterised by the fact that the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, the bearing can be dismantled. This facilitates separate installation as well as subsequent inspection work.
This bearing design is primarily used in bearing arrangements where high radial forces are present and axial displacement of the shaft must be compensated for. As a non-locating bearing, the NU design allows for displacement between the shaft and housing directly within the bearing interior. If thermal length changes occur in rotating components during operation, the bearing compensates for this movement without constraint. Designs featuring separate fixed and floating bearings utilise this effect to reliably prevent harmful axial stresses.
The polyamide cage with the additional designation TVP2 is characterised by its low weight and guides the rolling elements quietly. The component is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As this variant is designed without integrated sealing washers and without a groove or lubrication bore in the outer ring, the bearing location must be protected from contamination via the housing environment. The supply of grease or lubricating oil is also provided externally via the housing.
Two solid flanges on the outer ring and a flangeless inner ring make it possible to pull the inner ring out from either side. This floating bearing design absorbs radial forces and compensates for axial changes in the length of the shaft directly between the rollers and the inner ring raceway.
With a bore diameter of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 90 mm and a width of 20 mm, this design complies with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. It is a single-row bearing with standard radial clearance.
The polyamide cage, designated TVP2, is characterised by low inertia and elastic material properties. It contributes to quiet roller operation and is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As the bearing is designed without factory-fitted seals and without a lubrication bore in the outer ring, the lubricant is supplied via the housing design. External housing seals retain the grease or lubricating oil at the bearing location and protect against the ingress of dirt.
The version with standard radial bearing clearance provides the standard operating clearance for typical shaft and housing fit selections. This ensures that the rollers and raceways retain the required freedom of movement without becoming jammed under normal operating conditions.
