The FAG NJ2219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 95 × 170 × 43 mm, serves as a separable support bearing designed to withstand high radial loads.
The NJ2219 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing from FAG with a cylindrical bore. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the design can withstand high radial forces. With an internal diameter of 95 mm, an external diameter of 170 mm and a width of 43 mm, this design is conceived as an open bearing without an integrated seal. The bearing housing can be lubricated with either grease or oil via the surrounding structure.
The NJ design functions as a support bearing for shaft mountings subject to high radial forces and single-sided axial loads. The bearing supports axial forces in one direction and allows a defined axial displacement in the opposite direction. In this way, the bearing arrangement compensates for thermal length changes in the supported shaft during operation without generating additional axial stresses in the system.
The TVP2 version features a polyamide cage, which contributes to low inertia and smooth rolling action. Together with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and standard radial clearance, the bearing is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. As the inner ring can be removed from one side, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. The outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 43 mm. These dimensions define the required installation space on the shaft and in the housing bore. The design consists of a single-row roller bearing without integrated seals.
The NJ design features a support bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to accommodate high radial forces as well as unilateral axial loads. In the opposite direction, the design allows for axial displacement between the rings to compensate for changes in the shaft’s length.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage. Polyamide is characterised by its low weight and elastic properties, which contribute to smooth running. The permissible temperature range for this version is from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
As the bearing has no integral seals, the housing provides the seal against dirt and moisture. Lubrication is provided by the bearing environment, either with grease or oil. The outer ring has no lubrication bore and no circumferential groove, so lubricant must be applied from the side.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance and complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This design ensures defined running characteristics and is suitable for standardised installation situations with a cylindrical shaft fit within the specified temperature range.
