The SKF NU213 ECM/C3 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 65x120x23 mm, offers high radial load capacity, C3 clearance and a solid brass cage.
The SKF NU213 ECM/C3 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with a 65 mm bore, 120 mm outer diameter and 23 mm width. As an open idler bearing, the design accommodates high radial forces and allows for the axial compensation of length changes directly at the bearing location. Thanks to its optimised internal design in combination with a brass cage, this component performs reliably under demanding operating conditions in continuous industrial use as well as during rapid repairs.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing is primarily designed to accommodate high radial loads in radially guided shaft mountings. The NU design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and removable from both sides. This allows the shaft to compensate for thermal expansion relative to the housing without restriction. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, lubrication is provided by the surrounding housing.
The ECM design combines an optimised internal geometry with a dimensionally stable brass cage. This cage maintains the precise spacing between the rollers even under high acceleration or vibration. The slightly increased C3 radial clearance counteracts bearing stress should temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings or should tight fits reduce the operating clearance. The component covers a temperature range from -30 to +150 degrees and meets the P6 running accuracy standard.
With an internal diameter of 65 mm, an external diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm, this single-row component complies with standardised dimensions for precision-fit designs. The outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication holes.
In the NU design, the outer ring guides the rollers between two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. Consequently, the inner ring can be removed from either side, which facilitates the separate assembly of the shaft and housing. In practice, the component functions purely as a non-locating bearing for axial displacement.
The designation C3 indicates greater radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional clearance prevents the bearing from seizing up when it heats up during operation or due to tight fits. In particular, when there are temperature differences between the shaft and the housing, the smooth running of the cylindrical rollers is maintained.
A brass cage offers high strength and dimensional stability under vibration and dynamic mass forces. Furthermore, the material allows the rolling elements to move with low friction and is suitable for demanding operating conditions within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees.
The tolerance class for the main dimensions of the bearing is ‘Normal’ (P0/PN or ABEC 1). The running accuracy corresponds to the higher class P6 (ABEC 3). This combination ensures a trouble-free fit on standard shafts whilst providing smooth and low-vibration concentricity during operation.
As this bearing is designed without integrated sealing washers, lubrication is provided via the surrounding housing structure using lubricating oil or rolling-element bearing grease. External seals on the housing covers help to prevent lubricant loss and protect the interior from dirt and moisture.
