The single-row FAG cylindrical roller bearing NU2304 -E-XL-TVP2 with a 20 mm bore accommodates high radial loads and compensates for axial length changes as a non-locating bearing.
This open NU2304 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG is designed for purely radial loads in mechanical and plant engineering. With key dimensions of a 20 mm bore diameter, a 52 mm outer diameter and a width of 21 mm, this design complies with standard tolerance class P0 (PN or ABEC 1). A polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers evenly within the rolling element ring. The open design, without a groove or lubrication bore in the outer ring, requires external sealing and allows for direct lubricant supply via the surrounding structure.
The NU2304 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for bearing arrangements subject to significant radial loads, where thermally induced changes in shaft length must be compensated for without restriction. In radially loaded shaft bearings, this component acts as a pure non-guiding bearing, supporting the load without providing axial guidance. Due to the line contact of the cylindrical rolling elements, the bearing can withstand high transverse forces. The permissible temperature range is from –30 °C to +120 °C.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is flangeless and can be removed from both sides. This facilitates both installation and removal from the housing, as both rings can be mounted independently of one another onto the shaft and the housing. The integrated polyamide cage (TVP2) ensures quiet roller operation and reduces the weight of the component. As the single-row roller bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance, it is suitable for standard installation conditions.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 20 mm, an outer diameter of 52 mm and a width of 21 mm. It is a single-row roller bearing without an integrated seal, designed to provide high radial load-carrying capacities in compact installations.
The designation NU refers to a cylindrical roller bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and a smooth inner ring without flanges. The inner ring can be moved axially in both directions and can be removed completely. The bearing therefore serves purely as a non-locating bearing and does not absorb any axial forces.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This cage is characterised by low friction and a low weight. It is suitable for use in a temperature range between -30 °C and +120 °C.
This model features standard radial bearing clearance in accordance with standard tolerances (tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1). The bearing clearance refers to the radial movement of the rollers between the inner and outer rings when the bearing is unloaded prior to installation, and is suitable for standard shaft and housing fits.
The bearing has an open design and does not have an integrated seal, meaning that sealing is provided externally via the surrounding structure. Lubrication is provided by the surrounding system using lubricating oil or a suitable rolling-bearing grease. There are no lubrication holes or grooves on the outer ring.
