The double-acting axial deep-groove ball bearing 52307 from FAG Wälzlager accommodates axial forces in both directions and has dimensions of 30 x 68 x 44 mm.
The 52307 axial deep-groove ball bearing guides shafts axially in both directions and supports purely axial loads. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), this FAG Wälzlager design combines two ball rings with a shared shaft ring and two housing rings. Due to its design, the bearing assembly must not absorb radial forces. With dimensions of 30 mm bore, 68 mm outside diameter and 44 mm overall width, this assembly is suitable for a wide range of applications in mechanical engineering.
The 52307 axial deep-groove ball bearing is suitable for designs in which a shaft must be guided against axial forces in both axial directions. Typical applications include technical bearing arrangements with alternating axial thrust directions, where no radial load acts on the axial bearing. As the bearing is not angularly adjustable, installation requires contact surfaces in the housing that are machined exactly at right angles to the shaft axis.
In this double-acting design, the centre disc is fixed to the shaft, whilst the outer discs rest against the housing. The scope of supply comprises the rolling bearing itself without shims; consequently, the design does not compensate for misalignment. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements at operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. The bearings are manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1).
The dimensions are 30 mm bore diameter, 68 mm outer diameter and 44 mm overall width. These determine the installation space required on the shaft and within the housing bore, and comply with the specifications for this double-acting series.
Double-acting designs accommodate axial forces from both directions. They consist of a central shaft disc, two ball rings and two housing discs. This allows the component to guide the shaft in both axial directions; however, by its very design, it cannot transmit radial forces.
No, this version is not angle-adjustable and has flat housing washers without shims. The contact surfaces on the housing shoulder and the shaft must be aligned at right angles to the axis of rotation in order to prevent localised edge loads on the rolling elements.
The permissible operating range extends from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. The dimensional stability of the components made from 100Cr6 rolling-element bearing steel and of the sheet steel cage covers this range. When designing the system, a lubricant approved for these temperatures must be selected.
The manufacture complies with tolerance class P0/PN or the ABEC 1 standard. This standard tolerance provides a defined level of dimensional and running accuracy for standard industrial applications and simplifies the selection of suitable connecting parts on the shaft and in the housing.
The built-in sheet steel cage separates the rolling elements and maintains a uniform distance between them. The lightweight design takes up little space inside the bearing and remains dimensionally stable across the entire temperature range from -30 to +150 degrees.
