The SKF QJ213 MA four-point bearing, with a 65 mm bore and a split inner ring, accommodates axial forces in both directions in a confined space.
The QJ213 MA four-point bearing is a single-row radial angular contact ball bearing in a compact design. The design accommodates high axial loads in both directions, whilst radial forces should remain low. SKF manufactures this design in the Explorer performance class with a robust brass cage and standard radial clearance. As an open component, it has no integrated seal and therefore requires appropriate lubrication via the surrounding housing.
Design engineers primarily use this rolling bearing when axial forces occur in both directions and there is insufficient installation space for two separate angular contact ball bearings. It frequently functions purely as an axial bearing alongside a radial bearing in combined bearing arrangements. In this arrangement, the outer ring is given radial clearance within the housing so that only axial forces are transmitted via the four contact points of the raceways.
The split inner ring allows a large number of rolling elements to be accommodated. As the rings are not self-retaining, the bearing components are assembled separately. Furthermore, this design offers increased dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P6 and running accuracy to tolerance class P5. The outer ring does not require a retaining groove. Thanks to the solid brass cage, the bearing is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees.
This roller bearing combines a bore of 65 mm, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm with the ability to withstand axial loads in both directions. This variant features a solid brass cage and is manufactured as an SKF Explorer model for demanding operating conditions.
This roller bearing has an inside diameter of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has no retaining groove. These standardised dimensions allow for space-saving installation in compact machine housings.
The two-piece design of the inner ring allows a larger number of balls to be fitted. This increases the axial load capacity whilst maintaining a narrow overall width. Furthermore, the split inner ring makes installation and removal easier, as the outer ring, together with the ball set, and the two halves of the inner ring can be fitted separately.
This classification combines the dimensional accuracy of Class P6 with the finer running accuracy of Class P5. Compared with normal standard tolerances, the bearing exhibits lower radial and axial run-out deviations. This reduces vibrations during operation and helps to ensure smooth rotation when higher demands are placed on guiding accuracy.
The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees Celsius. The brass cage is resistant to lubricant additives and thermal cycling. To ensure the full service life at elevated temperatures, the lubricant must be suited to the system’s thermal operating window.
As an open roller bearing, this version does not feature any factory-fitted sealing washers. This design is intended for applications in which the component is integrated directly into an existing oil or grease circuit. External housing seals provide protection against external contaminants and moisture.
