The SKF 627 -2Z/C3 deep groove ball bearing features compact dimensions of 7x22x7 mm, sheet metal shields on both sides and an increased C3 clearance for radial load capacity.
This single-row deep groove ball bearing 627 -2Z/C3 from SKF is designed primarily to accommodate radial loads as well as low axial forces in both directions. Manufactured from through-hardened 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, this design features a sheet steel cage that precisely guides the rolling elements. With dimensions of a 7 mm bore, 22 mm outer diameter and 7 mm width, this rolling bearing is suitable for space-critical designs in precision engineering and general drive technology.
This deep-groove ball bearing is designed for compact bearing arrangements subject to predominantly radial loads and higher speeds. The cover plates on both sides protect the interior of the bearing from the ingress of coarse dirt particles, whilst the lubricant remains within the bearing chamber. As this is a non-contact gap seal, no additional friction is generated. The specified temperature range extends from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The suffix C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This additional radial clearance compensates for thermal expansion at operating temperatures and helps to prevent seizing if the inner and outer rings are fitted with tight fits. The designation 2Z stands for cover plates made of sheet steel, pressed in on both sides. The bearings are manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, with a cylindrical outer ring without a ring groove or flange.
A single-row radial deep-groove ball bearing with an inner diameter of 7 mm and an outer diameter of 22 mm. It has sheet metal shields on both sides, is made of 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel and has a slightly increased radial clearance of class C3.
With an internal diameter of 7 mm, an external diameter of 22 mm and a width of 7 mm, the bearing has compact dimensions. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has neither a groove nor a flange.
The designation -2Z refers to sheet steel cover plates fitted on both sides. These split seals protect the rolling elements from solid particles, retain the grease inside the bearing and do not generate any additional friction during operation.
C3 means that the radial bearing clearance prior to installation is greater than the standard. This feature reduces the risk of stress during operation should shafts heat up or a tight bearing seat reduce the operating clearance after assembly.
The permissible operating range extends from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. Both the roller bearing steel and the steel sheet cage, as well as the metal end plates, are designed for this temperature range.
The inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements are made of case-hardened standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. A sheet steel cage is used to guide the balls. The component has no electrical insulation.
