The SKF 62206 -2RS1 deep groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 30x62x20 mm and seals that seal on both sides, offers effective protection against dust and moisture.
This single-row deep-groove ball bearing 62206 -2RS1 accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces in both directions. Manufactured from standard 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, the component complies with standardised tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) and has a standard radial clearance. A robust sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly between the deep-grooved raceways of the inner and outer rings, which are designed without a flange or groove.
The wider design, with a total width of 20 mm, is used in constructions that require an increased support width for standard shaft diameters. The bearing is designed for applications where particles or moisture may enter the bearing housing. The double-sided sealing keeps the component protected without the need for separate sealing elements in the housing. The permissible temperature range extends from –20 to +120 degrees and covers a wide variety of industrial operating conditions.
The sealing discs of the deep-groove ball bearing, which abut on both sides, lie directly against the contact surfaces of the inner ring. This design shields the interior from ingress of contaminants and retains the lubricant within the bearing chamber. Compared with the standard 6206 series, the 62206 bearing features a wider design whilst retaining the same internal diameter of 30 mm and external diameter of 62 mm. As the bearing is not electrically insulated, appropriate short-circuit protection should be provided in applications where electrical voltage may be present.
With an internal diameter of 30 mm, an external diameter of 62 mm and a total width of 20 mm, this bearing has a wider design than the narrower standard 6206 series.
The suffix 2RS1 indicates sliding seals fitted on both sides. These shield the rolling elements from ingress of dirt and moisture and retain the lubricant inside the bearing.
The version with standard radial bearing clearance is suitable for standard fit conditions on the shaft and housing. It is used when no unusual thermal expansion or extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings occur during operation.
The inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements are made from conventional standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. The balls are guided by a dimensionally stable cage made from pressed sheet steel.
The permissible temperature range is from -20 to +120 degrees. This range is primarily limited by the sealing elements fitted and the lubricant filling, so applications outside these limits should be avoided.
