The FAG 62206 -2RSR deep groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 30x62x20 mm, protects the raceways from dirt and moisture by means of ground seals on both sides.
The single-row deep groove ball bearing 62206 -2RSR is a versatile radial ball bearing for rotating shafts in industrial applications. Manufactured from standard rolling-element bearing steel (100Cr6), this unit accommodates radial forces as well as moderate axial loads in both directions. The outer ring has no flange or groove, allowing the component to be fitted flush into standardised cylindrical housing bores. A sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly along the raceway.
The component is suitable for bearing arrangements with a shaft diameter of 30 mm, where environmental dust or splashing water may be present. Typical applications include general mechanical engineering, conveyor systems, drive shafts and electric motors. The sealed design keeps fine particles and moisture away from the raceways, which reduces the risk of premature failure due to lubricant contamination during day-to-day operation.
The designation -2RSR stands for lip seals fitted on both sides that make contact. The elastic sealing lips rest against the inner ring shoulders and mechanically seal off the interior. Unlike open bearings, the factory-applied grease remains inside the bearing, whilst dirt particles are kept out. This significantly reduces maintenance requirements at operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +100 degrees Celsius.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 30 mm, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width of 20 mm. Thanks to its 20 mm width, the design reliably absorbs radial loads during operation.
-2RSR refers to double-sided, contact-type sliding seals. These seals provide protection against the ingress of dust, dirt and moisture, and keep the lubricant inside the bearing.
This model is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This bearing clearance is suitable for standard installation situations with conventional fits on the shaft and housing, and where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
The permissible operating range is between -20 and +100 degrees Celsius. The sealing elements and the lubrication system are designed for this temperature range, meaning the unit can be used in standard industrial environments.
Both the bearing rings and the balls are made from standard 100Cr6 rolling-element bearing steel. This case-hardened chrome steel is characterised by high wear resistance, high compressive strength and dimensional stability under load.
The product is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to the ABEC 1 standard. This is the standard precision for industrial applications, offering reliable dimensional and concentricity tolerances.
