SKF single-row deep groove ball bearing 6219, dimensions 95x170x32 mm, open design, for radial loads and axial guidance forces.
The SKF 6219 deep groove ball bearing is a versatile rolling bearing for industrial applications. With a bore of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm, the single-row design primarily accommodates radial loads. As it is an open bearing without integrated sealing rings, it operates with low friction. The SKF Explorer quality version is made from standard rolling-element bearing steel (100Cr6) and offers smooth running characteristics.
The open deep-groove ball bearing 6219 is designed for bearing arrangements where an external lubrication circuit using oil or grease is present. The absence of sealing washers allows for low frictional resistance and a direct supply of lubricant to the rolling elements.
In sealed housings, the lubricant circulates unhindered through the interior and dissipates operating heat. The integrated sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly and retains its dimensional stability within a temperature range of -20 to +120 degrees.
During installation, lubrication and housing design determine the service life. As the open design offers no integrated protection against dirt particles, external housing seals are responsible for keeping out contaminants and moisture.
Fitted with standard radial bearing clearance and manufactured to tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the component is suitable for standard fit designs. The standardised main dimensions of 95 × 170 × 32 mm facilitate international interchangeability when sourcing spare parts.
The bearing has a bore of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 170 mm and a width of 32 mm. Thanks to its cylindrical bore, the component can be fitted directly onto the specially machined shaft.
The open design does not incorporate integrated cover plates or sealing discs, in order to minimise friction losses and allow an unimpeded supply of lubricants. In housing-protected designs with external lubrication, this configuration helps to maintain low operating temperatures.
Normal radial bearing clearance refers to the defined radial clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways when the bearing is unloaded. It is designed for standard fits and standard operating temperatures. The radial clearance allows the rolling elements sufficient room to move in the event of heat build-up during operation.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees. The rolling elements and rings made of 100Cr6, as well as the sheet steel cage, retain their strength within this temperature range. In practice, the actual permissible range depends largely on the lubricant used.
The inner and outer rings, as well as the rolling elements, are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). The cage is made of sheet steel. This combination of materials provides high load-carrying capacity on the raceways and maintains the rolling elements at a uniform distance from one another.
The P0 tolerance class corresponds to standard accuracy and is comparable to the ABEC 1 designation. It defines the permissible dimensional and runout tolerances for standard industrial applications.
