The SKF 6206-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 30x62x16 mm and contact seals on both sides, offers reliable protection against contamination.
The SKF 6206-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel for combined loads. With key dimensions of a 30 mm bore, 62 mm outer diameter and 16 mm width, it primarily accommodates radial loads as well as moderate axial loads in both directions. A sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly into the deep raceways. The lip seals on both sides are designed to prevent particles and moisture from entering the interior and to retain the lubricant within the bearing chamber.
This rolling bearing is designed for rotating shafts and axles subject to a predominantly radial load and guiding forces on both sides. Thanks to the 2RS1 seals on both sides, the component is particularly suitable for dusty or damp environmental conditions, where open designs would be subject to increased wear. The permissible operating temperature range extends from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius and covers standard industrial applications. The outer ring, which has no flange or ring groove, allows for direct installation in cylindrical housing bores.
The designation 2RS1 refers to abiding seals fitted on both sides. This design mechanically seals the interior against the ingress of contaminants and, due to its construction, causes minimal friction. The bearing has a standard radial clearance and a tolerance class of P0/PN (corresponding to ABEC 1). This design is therefore suitable for standard fits where no extreme thermal expansion or special press fits need to be taken into account.
With a bore of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 62 mm and a width of 16 mm, the roller bearing has standardised main dimensions. These dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into cylindrical bearing seats in mechanical engineering applications.
The suffix 2RS1 denotes sealing discs fitted on both sides that provide a sliding seal. The sealing lips make contact with the inner ring, protecting the rolling element chamber from the ingress of dust and splash water, and retaining the factory-applied lubricant within the bearing.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the standardised radial clearance between the balls and raceways when the bearing is unmounted. It is designed for standard shaft and housing fits, where no extreme temperature differences occur during normal operation.
The operating temperature range is specified as -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. Within these limits, the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel, the integrated mechanical seals and the lubricant fill retain their functional properties.
The rings and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. A sheet steel cage keeps the balls at a defined distance apart and ensures stable guidance along the raceways.
The design complies with the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to ABEC 1 internationally. This class covers the standard requirements for dimensional accuracy, running accuracy and form tolerances in general mechanical engineering.
