The SKF deep groove ball bearing 6015 -2RS1 (75x115x20 mm) offers protection against dirt on both sides and is suitable for demanding radial loads in industrial applications.
The 6015-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing provides designers and maintenance engineers with a versatile radial ball bearing. This design features SKF’s Explorer performance class and a sheet steel cage. Thanks to its dimensions of 75 mm inner diameter and 115 mm outer diameter, the design primarily accommodates radial forces and, where required, handles moderate axial forces in both directions. It is manufactured from standard rolling-bearing steel 100Cr6, ensuring the necessary dimensional stability during continuous operation.
This single-row deep-groove ball bearing is ideal for rotating machine components where precise shaft guidance is required with a moderate width of 20 mm. Typical applications include general mechanical engineering as well as industrial shaft bearings and drive units. As the integrated lip seals protect the interior from solid particles, the component is suitable for use in dusty factory environments. The permissible temperature range is from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The suffixes clearly define the specific application focus of this bearing. The 2RS1 seal, which provides a sliding seal on both sides, retains lubricant inside the bearing and repels moisture and dirt. In combination with the standard radial bearing clearance, the system runs smoothly and with low vibration. Furthermore, the increased dimensional accuracy to tolerance class P6, combined with standard running accuracy PN, provides a more precise fit on the shaft, which stabilises the fit within the housing and facilitates assembly.
With a bore of 75 mm, an outside diameter of 115 mm and a width of 20 mm, the bearing complies with standardised dimensions. The outer ring is designed without a flange or circumferential groove. These dimensions allow for a smooth replacement during repairs and maintenance work on existing shaft assemblies.
This abbreviation denotes sliding seals fitted on both sides. The sealing lips make contact with the inner ring, retain the lubricant inside the bearing and protect the raceways and rolling elements from the ingress of foreign particles, moisture and dust.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. This range is largely determined by the material of the sliding seals and the lubricant filling. For applications outside these temperature limits, special seal variants should be selected.
The model is designed with standard radial bearing clearance. This standard bearing clearance is intended for typical fit selections on the shaft and housing, as well as for applications where there is no excessive thermal expansion of the components. It ensures smooth running with low friction.
The dimensional accuracy complies with tolerance class P6, whilst the running accuracy is classified as standard class PN. P6 denotes tighter manufacturing tolerances for bore and outside diameters compared with the standard, which enables a more precise fit in demanding assemblies.
The rings and rolling elements are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), which is characterised by high hardness and wear resistance. The rolling elements are guided by a sheet steel cage, which ensures uniform spacing between them.
