The FAG 6010 -2Z deep-groove ball bearing, with a 50 mm bore and cover plates on both sides, offers robust protection for industrial rotary movements.
The single-row deep-groove ball bearing 6010 -2Z from FAG accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces in both directions. Manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel 100Cr6, the unit has the following main dimensions: a bore diameter of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 80 mm and a width of 16 mm. A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly into the deep raceways. Thanks to its standard radial clearance, the bearing is suitable for standard fits in industrial plant and general mechanical engineering.
The deep-groove ball bearing primarily supports radial loads and guides rotating shafts even when axial forces act on both sides. As the outer ring and rolling elements are made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel, dimensional stability is maintained within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The cylindrical outer ring without a flange allows for direct mounting in standardised housing bores, thereby minimising installation effort.
The suffix 2Z denotes cover plates made of profiled sheet steel fitted on both sides. These gap seals protect the bearing interior from coarse dirt particles, dust and foreign matter without generating additional friction on the rotating inner ring. As a result, the ball bearing achieves high speeds with low heat generation. For dry environments with solid particle contamination, the non-contacting 2Z variant offers the appropriate protection.
With an internal diameter of 50 mm, an external diameter of 80 mm and a total width of 16 mm, the assembly complies with standardised specifications. These standardised dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into housing seats and directly onto cylindrical shafts.
Two sheet-metal cover plates fitted to the end faces seal the interior of the bearing without coming into contact with it. These discs keep solid particles out of the interior and reduce lubricant leakage without measurably increasing the starting torque or the frictional resistance of the rolling bearing.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. Both the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and the sheet metal cover plates and steel cage retain their dimensional stability within this range, making the bearing suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
The ball bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance. This standard clearance is designed for normal operation with typical shaft and housing fits, provided that no unusually high temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation.
A dimensionally stable sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements along the bearing raceways. Sheet steel cages offer good resistance to mechanical stresses and are fully compatible with mineral oil-based lubricants across the entire permissible temperature range.
This version is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to ABEC 1 in the US. This dimensional accuracy meets the general requirements for concentricity and guiding accuracy in mechanical and plant engineering.
