FAG 6010-Z deep-groove ball bearing: Single-row rolling bearing (50x80x16 mm) with a cover plate on one side, designed for radial loads and compact installation spaces.
The 6010 -Z deep groove ball bearing is a versatile radial deep groove ball bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6). With a 50 mm bore, 80 mm outer diameter and 16 mm width, this single-row bearing primarily accommodates radial forces as well as moderate axial forces. This FAG component features a standard radial clearance and a sheet steel cage that maintains an even spacing between the rolling elements.
This single-row radial deep-groove ball bearing is suitable for designs with high demands on precise guidance during predominantly radial force transmission. As it is classified in the standard tolerance class P0/PN (corresponding to ABEC 1), the unit fits into standardised housing seats without a flange or groove. The rolling bearing steel ensures dimensional stability under typical mechanical stresses in continuous industrial use.
The suffix -Z indicates a non-contacting cover plate made of sheet metal on one side of the bearing. This design shields the raceway against the ingress of coarse dirt particles without generating additional frictional resistance or heat during operation. The open opposite side ensures unobstructed access for lubricants from inside the housing. During assembly, the metal cover is usually fitted facing the side exposed to contamination.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 16 mm. These standardised key dimensions comply with the metric 60 series and allow for replacement in existing assemblies.
The suffix -Z denotes a contactless cover plate made of sheet steel, fitted on one side. It protects the interior of the bearing from the ingress of solid particles, generates no braking friction torque during operation, and leaves the opposite side open for the supply of external lubricant.
This model features the standard radial bearing clearance (standard clearance). This standard setting is designed for common mounting fits and moderate operating temperatures, ensuring that a balanced operating clearance between the balls and raceways is maintained once the bearing is fitted.
Both the solid bearing rings and the rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). The balls are guided by a stamped sheet steel cage, which is characterised by its low weight and good heat dissipation.
Single-row deep-groove ball bearings primarily support radial forces perpendicular to the shaft. Thanks to the deep grooves in the inner and outer rings, they also transmit limited axial forces in both directions.
