The SKF 6411 single-row deep groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 55x140x33 mm, offers a robust solution for combined radial and axial loads.
The 6411 deep-groove ball bearing is a single-row radial ball bearing conforming to standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. With a bore of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm, this rolling bearing primarily accommodates radial forces and axial loads in both directions. The rings and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. As an open bearing without integrated sealing rings, this design is particularly suitable for applications where the lubricant is required to circulate freely.
Design engineers prefer to use this bearing in shaft mountings subject to combined loads in a protected environment. As the bearing is of an open design, the lubricant reaches the raceways and the sheet steel cage directly. The component is designed for oil- or grease-lubricated housing designs that feature external sealing. The permissible operating temperature range is from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius, enabling the bearing to withstand the thermal demands of continuous industrial applications.
This model has standard radial clearance and features a cylindrical outer ring without a flange or groove. The guided sheet steel cage keeps the balls at a uniform distance apart and reduces friction at high speeds. As there are no contact seals to generate frictional heat, the bearing runs smoothly. For the design, this means that you can precisely tailor the external lubricant supply and housing protection to the ambient conditions in order to protect the component from contamination.
The main dimensions are a bore diameter of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm. These dimensions determine the bearing seat on the shaft and in the housing bore, and allow for direct replacement in standardised mounting spaces.
Manufactured without integrated cover plates or sealing washers, this version allows lubricating oil or grease to flow freely directly to the contact surfaces. Installation requires the housing to be sealed externally to prevent the loss of lubricant and to keep out dirt particles.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the manufacturing-related clearance between the rolling elements and the raceways when the bearing is not fitted. This clearance compensates for thermal expansion during operation and for the dimensional restriction caused by the interference fit of the rings on the shaft and housing.
The permissible temperature range is between -20 and +120 degrees Celsius. The 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel and the sheet steel cage are designed to retain their shape within this range. The actual usable temperature range during operation also depends on the lubricant used.
It maintains a precise distance between the balls and prevents the rolling elements from rubbing against one another. Thanks to its low material weight, the steel cage keeps inertial forces to a minimum and is fully compatible with both mineral and synthetic lubricants.
Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1, this roller bearing meets the standard accuracy requirements for industrial mechanical engineering. This tolerance class offers reliable concentricity and dimensional stability for standard fits.
