The 6213 -TB-P6-C3 deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager, with dimensions of 65x120x23 mm, a hard-fabric cage and P6 tolerance, ensures precise operation at elevated operating temperatures.
This single-row deep-groove ball bearing 6213 -TB-P6-C3 from FAG Wälzlager is designed as an open bearing without sealing rings. It accommodates radial loads as well as axial loads in both directions. Manufactured from standard rolling-element bearing steel 100Cr6, the bearing combines a 65 mm cylindrical bore with an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm. Thanks to the outer ring having no flange or groove, the component fits smoothly into cylindrical housing bores.
Design engineers primarily select the 6213 -TB-P6-C3 deep groove ball bearing for rotating bearings operating at high speeds and under thermal stress. As the rolling bearing has an open design, it can be integrated directly into closed oil circuits or installation spaces greased on site. The permissible temperature range is from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius. This design is suitable for applications where low friction and precise guidance of the rotating shaft are paramount.
The bearing has a P6 tolerance class, which features tighter dimensional and running tolerances than the standard tolerance and contributes to smooth, even running. A hard-fabric cage keeps the weight of the rotating components low and reduces centrifugal forces at high rotational speeds. Together with the slightly increased radial clearance (C3), this design compensates for thermal expansion during operation without the rolling elements becoming jammed between the inner and outer rings.
With an internal diameter of 65 mm, an external diameter of 120 mm and a width of 23 mm, the bearing complies with standard dimensions. The outer ring has neither a groove nor a flange. This allows the component to be fitted flush into cylindrical housing seats.
P6 denotes a tighter tolerance class, comparable to the ABEC 3 rating. The bore diameter, outer diameter and concentricity deviate less from the nominal dimensions than in standard bearings. This promotes low-vibration operation at higher speeds.
C3 denotes a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. This increased clearance between the balls and raceways prevents stress build-up when the shaft heats up during operation or when tight fits cause the inner ring to expand.
TB refers to the version with a hard-fabric cage. This material is characterised by its low density and elastic running properties. It reduces the inertia of the rolling element set and is suitable for applications involving rapid changes in speed.
As this deep-groove ball bearing is supplied without integrated cover or sealing washers, it requires lubrication from the installation environment. It can be lubricated either by oil mist lubrication, an oil bath or an application-specific grease pack, which is protected from contamination by external housing seals.
The component is designed for ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees Celsius. Both the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and the hard-fabric cage retain their dimensional stability and mechanical strength within this temperature range.
