The 6319-C3 deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager, with dimensions of 95 x 200 x 45 mm and a C3 clearance, ensures smooth running at elevated operating temperatures.
The 6319-C3 deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager is a single-row radial ball bearing for shafts with a diameter of 95 mm. As an open bearing without integrated seals, it is suitable for operation in lubricated housings. The rings and rolling elements are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A sheet steel cage guides the balls evenly into the deep raceways. The bearing covers a temperature range from –20 to +150 degrees.
This radial ball bearing is primarily designed to withstand high radial loads as well as moderate axial loads in both directions. The design with an outer diameter of 200 mm is typically used in high-load bearing arrangements. As there are no contact seals to generate friction, the bearing operates with low friction even at higher speeds. Installation requires an environment supplied with oil or grease.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial clearance as supplied. This increased clearance between the balls and raceways counteracts stress build-up should heating or tight fits occur during operation. Should temperature differences arise between the inner and outer rings, the necessary mobility is maintained. This reduces premature wear and promotes even load distribution.
The ball bearing has an inner diameter of 95 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 45 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has no flange or retaining groove. These main dimensions comply with the standard specifications for the 6319 series.
The designation C3 indicates a slightly increased radial bearing clearance compared with the standard version. It compensates for dimensional changes caused by tight fits during press-fitting or by temperature differences between the shaft and the housing. In this way, the bearing operates without excessive preload, even under thermal stress.
The permissible operating range is between -20 and +150 degrees Celsius. The thermal resistance is based on the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel and the heat-resistant sheet steel cage. When designing the bearing assembly, the lubricant used must be selected to suit this temperature range.
As the bearing is supplied open from the factory and has no sealing washers, it is not pre-lubricated. Lubrication is provided via the housing in which the bearing is fitted, using either oil or grease. A clean housing seal protects the interior from the ingress of dirt particles and moisture.
The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance P0 (corresponding to PN or ABEC 1). This tolerance class meets the precision requirements of general mechanical and plant engineering. It enables dimensionally accurate fitting onto ground shafts and in precisely machined housing bores.
Inside, a sheet steel cage keeps the rolling elements at a uniform distance from one another. Sheet steel cages are characterised by their low weight and help to promote the circulation of lubricant within the bearing chamber. Furthermore, this cage design is engineered to withstand the typical mechanical stresses encountered in industrial applications.
